Third page of the evening barter session.

http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/pwi#/discussion/1205882/barter-event-session-1-evening-edition/p3?sso=eyJuYW1lIjoiIiwicGhvdG91cmwiOiIiLCJjbGllbnRfaWQiOiIxNDQzOTY4OTgxIn0=+f991bf173beec436035e16c649c355d8d15c7d5d+1473206240+hmacsha1

Apparently someone on the third page thinks they have the right to decide what's worth offering and what's not, I'm hoping this selfish and inept behavior doesn't influence the GM's decision.

Is it possible to edit the particular post stating what's "worth it and what not" ? Person is not a mod or a gm, seems unfair for the rest of the people that made honest bids. @thenamesdomino @orinj @arspaulina#4310

Winners have been announced, but each post was definitely culled through and matched out for a good few well spent hours. So, while nice in theory to gather all of the posts in one mega post, "gatekeeping" offers that are believed to be "bellow the threshold" is not something for someone to arbitrarily dictate, but for the team working on the event to decide and match out values. (which then just creates more unnecessary work because the posts in question have to be disregarded, and everything had to be re verified and timestamps checked anyways) Bids that did not follow the basic rules (like say, not posting a server name with it) would have been tossed out, but rest assured all bids were looked though that did comply with the rules. Hope this helps!

I went through and figured out where easily better offers were already made. IE several people offered 1, 2, 3, or 6 ocean orbs...someone bid 7 and some other obs too..yeah, those other bids were easily beat

Several people offered +10 or +11 daggers, somoene bid +12...yeha, the +12 is easily worth more.

My post was by no means an end all be all, more so just a easier way to save domino/orinj from sorting through hours of **** from people who didnt bother to read the rules or the posts before them.

They are going by what the market would pay for them I believe...I saw a bunch of "old" +12 weapons that, while expensive to create, would not actually be worth full price if sold on a general server market.

Same for those +5 orbs that have a limit of g9 or something that people get from dreamchasers. Those are worth next to nothing because no one cares about them after level 40. Those were obviously disregarded because the guys who offered like 100+ 5-star dreamchaser orbs would have won if that was true (market value 3b+ since I'm still selling real +5's @ 33m).

Edit: Admittedly though I fail to see how lvl 1 astrospira pearls are worth much...I think it would actually be better if they posted the value of the items as well as the items offered in the winning posts.

Ok well since you want to be a self proclaimed judge on what's a **** bid and what's not, let's take a moment to analyze your awesome bid shall we?

    G16 Netherworld Guidance 2 socket 2x aps and 350hp garnet gem 2x refine +11
    G15 ☆☆Shadow Ashura Greaves 3 socket citrine shard 3x refine +8
    G14 ☆Ashura's Boots 3 Socket Citrine shard 3x refine +7
    R8 ☆Ocean Supreme Armor 4 Socket +75 Shard 4x refine +8
    Golden Riding Dog Mount Egg

everything below this line is **** as I see it

    4x Dragon Orb (4 stars)
    2x Dryad's Spiritstone
    203x Perfect Topaz Shard
    182x Perfect Ruby Shard
    125x Perfect Amethyst Shard
    219x Perfect Aquamarine Shard
    204x Perfect Alabaster Shard
    R8 ring
    2x Kunwoo Blade
    6x Strongwind Badge
    14x Damascene Ore

Soooo having said that at least 10 bids if not more that exceeded yours by a ton, meaning you should have excluded your bid from your 'list of awesome bids'.
Honestly no one asked of you to sort out anything, that's not your job. Whether someone has read the rules or not should be none of your concern. To begin with each person values their items in their own way, something you should learn to respect given you value your items while others ( including me ) would consider them ****.

I'm kinda disappointed that the mods/gms didn't edit out your comment in the evening barter session.... I mean this guy clearly called a lot of people's bids **** (even though that exact word got censored). You could clearly tell he was starting unnecessary drama on a post that was meant to be taken seriously.

Also I'd like our community managers to take into consideration that by not editing out unnecessary flare comments from serious posts such as the barter posts, they give the players a false image that the judges may in some way agree or go along with what was said. Which is why this thread was created in the first place. Trying to influence a competition by undermining other people's posts is against ToS.

    Oboi its getting personal now.

No point in attacking each other guys. Ars already said that post wasnt used. And the winner was someone who didnt even bid the most so *shrugs* highly doubt this caused any loss

I tend to let fly alot of things for the sake of not trying to censor anyone, but I still made it known that that could be a potential issue. So I left that post in tact anyways, but everything as I already stated was still read through by those running it. The way bids were presented were "sterilized" (i.e. the posters "chatter" removed) and items dropped out, so each individual post was went back over and considered. But it's still something to make note of-if they get a week where they're slammed and somehow "take someones word for it", it could step on alot of people's toes who went though all the work of typing things out. I'll definitely talk to Domino about it it today though and if that's the sort of thing that damages the integrity of the event going forward, I'll delete posts of that nature.

I don't always call it right every time, so if it's something that bothers alot of people or could hurt events like this, it's good to hear feedback on it.

I would agree that it would be nice to edit out obvious flame bait, comments that have nothing to do with an actual bid, even commenting on anothers bid maybe is annoying (not that I did that... or anything...) Also.... Having people claim certain values may sway the judge's ability to look at bids objectively, which I suspect is the case in asterelle winning (no offense against asterelle) since he was obviously outbid...

We have another thread to discuss and ask questions in imo.
