you bought 4k fsp coins cause people is desperate to sell them
BHs are like a joke rewards bad and withour value anymore. (mirages/chips/socket stones are the 90% of your reward coin cards are the rarest like to try open a pack and hope to get CoM)
Once again I see many, many catshops selling mirages, socket stones and dice tickets, HH gold mats made from chips for more than 1 coin. Your notion that they are worthless when they really do have value is erroneous statement made to embellish a failed argument.
Stop it.
cause you see shops selling doesnt mean that people buys
Then set up a catshop and sell them less than what the other shops are selling them for. I bet you can get more than 1 coin each for them. In a hurry? Undercut the other by 25% and send a world chat to sell the items.
Keep coming up with your self-imposed limitations and excuses.0 -
I remember the days of digging massive quantities of golden foil worth 1000 coins, digging herbs around those areas, saving enough coins between battle damage(repairs) making apoth and selling, killing mobs till the herbs spawned. I also sold afk flight service occasionally to female toons that didn't have flyers and or they needed way points open and couldn't always be at the computer to fly to each.
Still killing and getting exp till my gear almost broke down, and then rinsing and repeating till I was able to get my tt 90 gold and divine comprehensions , then solo fc (or zhen people) it took a long time but was patient doing it, and sell the room, then have em pm me, and take the fc instance back transferring lead to me (since not many people bothered doing jail) after room was used did jail boss, then kill hollen, get flawless shards or weapons gear making a few million and as I got stronger doing em faster, making even more , till I learned how to merchant dye.
I was successful in this for a long while till sombody better at it came along. I still sold apothcary and herbs, got coins for drops, still killed mobs and bosses for coins I started getting into deltas and spamming as many as I could, obp ,tome frags ect... I finally reached 100 eventually got celestial sage. I got into nirvy caster sqauds (everbody hated seekers back then thinking them useless since we had no aps, unless u literally had sage shatters )(I had to switch my culti needing a schism much harder than it is today because I used to be demon and the shatters for mages where not as good as sage).
I did this as long as I could, finally getting enough coin to get my g16 Astral ballads , using these weapons I'd solo bosses and other things for other players as a professional mercenary for hire. This was 4 months before nw rolled out , keep in mind the insane cost of g16 back then. Suddenly even though I had the 6th pair of these weapons to exist on my server, my weapon became common and r9 was the upper echelon.
During this time I learned how to merchant gold during sales by doing pwi surveys which gave out zen, selling for coins and buying it back cheaper and re selling the gold back more expensive and keeping small amounts readily available to rinse and reapeat.
I finally acquired r9 after a year and half, I also added spamming killing mobs for dq for months, till they took that away and my fc. Nirvy was pointless because of nw , but I now had better gear and better tools in which to farm higher things. I started soloing hellfire and major culti bosses , made a massive amount of coin from that since I used to sell boss runs 1 mill a boss and 2.4 mill for hellfire alone (lots on my server rb and didnt have culti finished so I didn't rb and stayed 100 to make more money ) .
Eventually had to rb but I still could farm herbs , nothing stopped my pickaxe. This was repeated when pwi changed abbadon which used to murder sqauds relentlessly , the puppet boss , I learned to solo him too and made unholy amounts of money from SOD farming till it's literally all I ever did and I learned how to completely master the market I learned auto culti while I was sleeping at night (screwed my old lap top up but it was on its last legs anyways ) made a few millions selling hp pots and oht stuff from the drops.
This brings is to our dystopian future now after a long while of making money getting my r9 well geared and becoming full deity, SOD go for nearly nothing , so does tt stuff so generally all old ways of farming, it takes even its toll on the cube market (which I never learned because of my unrelenting hatred of cube and its mocking happy upbeat music while I endlessly failed ) I am actually running out of things to make coin off of and though I'm incredibly well geared for a ftp player (not max) nobody stays well geared for long in a MMO , so now I created a alt army spamming jj, bh, jfsp and now UP it takes money and time to do it but it does make money.
Yeah, the way I see it if I can work hard to make coin so I don't have to spend money ingame on the game . I wanted to do that I'd stick to console gaming like I used to do ,
But now a days the game u already bought is not even the full game, it comes with dlc that force u to pay to play it to become your property, MMO is an effort but it's like a good book that never ends, and just like the journey is always better then the destination of said journey so goes the same for MMO.
So don't be fooled ftpers the game is hard starting to make coins , there is greedy players out to get every single coin u have, scammers , pack sales that take alot of value from you when you do finally learn to merchandise, and the game will always evolve making even what power you do have obsolete without pandering to new heights of gear.
Dont ever listen when people ever tell u its easy because it's not, but don't ever let it stop you, it is possible to always get anything you want ingame you want with enough time and patience, even if it's an eventuality.Vae Victis.0 -

wtf are these guys playing the same game we play, this game has so much coin sink and basically no way to make coins except for supply tokens (which is semi dead market tho) or FSP coins
TT market is dead DQ is dead Nirvana is dead........ what game are those guys playing
I work too many hours and too hard at my regular job to then come try to play a game which becomes like a 2nd job. I'm still for the minute finding ways to make a bit of coins in game but the list of choices is become very short (and therefore repetitive and boring). You can't even run cube and sell cogs anymore because the sheer quantity of packs being opened has flooded the market with cube of fate stamps to the point that they've become so cheap that you'd have to sell cogs for less than the cost of completing the rooms necessary to farm them.
Honestly I feel PWI would have been a far better game if right from day 1, there was no player-player trading in game of any kind. You could still get help from higher levels in squad, but they'd have to be doing it for free since you could offer no reward. It would have solved all these issues with merchanting, catshopping, paying for TT/nirv openers, FF big rooms and generally every thing that takes money from those that need it and gives to those that don't.0 -

Then a MMO is not for you. A console game is.0 -
Then a MMO is not for you. A console game is.
jadasia has a point.
Every MMO has player to player trade. Interplayer actions of every kind is a big part of what MMOs are. the trading system is what helps many players advance, especially when people dont want to put cash in game. They find an effective way to farm the coin to buy from someone who does cash. It's basic functions like this that keep any MMO alive.
You can't even run cube and sell cogs anymore because the sheer quantity of packs being opened has flooded the market with cube of fate stamps to the point that they've become so cheap that you'd have to sell cogs for less than the cost of completing the rooms necessary to farm them.
This i find contradictory. You complain about not being able to get coin and that items are too expensive, but the issue of the stamps being added to the server in surplus making the prices drop prove that prices are going down and things are becoming more affordable. I say if you farm cogs. then dont sell cogs make a neck and sell that. Granted i've never done Cube so dont know about all the costs involved, but if your losing money from it and profit is your only reason for doing Cube, then just dont do it.
To add to this, regardless of how you get coin you have to put effort in some form to get it. If your for instant gratification as most people who complain about not being able to make coin are, then your option is to put cash in game and sell gold. If you dont want to put in the cash for instant gratification, you have to put in time.
I keep seeing people complain about how long, boring and tedious it is to do jolly jones. Here's the thing. Jolly Jones is my main income and i dont bother with doing it fully. I log my toons to do the initial pick-up quest and then switch to the next toon. It takes only a few minutes to get through all my toons and just that alone is 560k with one toon on each level range per account doing the initial quest. five to ten minutes depending if my computer wants to be nice or not and then i have more time for my main. i dont worry about transferring the coin everytime and have my set time after 30 days. More than half of my current 600m has come straight from 5-10 minutes of jolly jones. i just do all my toons like habit before getting on my main, or even if i'm not going to be in game that day i take the short amount of time to do this. The point is you dont have to spend hours on long, tedious, boring, and the occasional click spammers on machine to make money from Jolly Jones
On last note, i agree that Wanmei's actions with the army of botters has negatively affected the american servers. But if they hadnt nerfed coin, how long would you have to kill grind to get enough coin to buy good items. Compared to Jollly Jones or Merchanting, Kill grinding for drops takes much more time and effort to do (unless you set the auto-culti on and check back on it every so often to make sure your toon didnt get stuck or die, and then reset it when time goes off) but if your at your computer grinding you have to make sure to pick up the drops, and then when bag is full go to town to npc, then travel back to grinding spot. That's also not counting the loss of profit for pots and repairs. But if that were an available way to make coin and you chose to do that, it still takes time and effort to do, Hence not instant gratification.
Etherblade Server
due to mishaps in my past few years in game, I do NOT accept random invites (faction/squad/friend no randoms period) NOR will I give buffs (cleric/barb/sin/exp if i have it) to random people because they ask. If I DO give buffs to a random person, it's because of a random whim (much like the red detonator button sitting at my desk that i will one day push at a random whim)
Also do NOT look at my gear and then proceed to pm me asking to buy my gear or for a loan of coin. It's just plain rude.
I have too many toons to name, but if you play on Etherblade server and you come across a toon that acts this way, or if the world is suddenly destroyed, it was probably me.0
