PWI can we get a date for when the next time 4th mats are going to be on sale for rank gear

Can we have some advanced notice about when the next r9 4th cast mats will be out looks like that came out and then gone the next day please put them back so we have the prices and can buy them, thanks.

Its a design decision on the developer's part, one that confuses me a bit with all the recasts that gear has you would think they would have just said each new casting becomes a new number rather than "This is rank 9 Limitless (r9rr) and this is rank 9 Boundless (r9rrr)" but then again thats way above my head.

Thats kinda how i feel about it these days. Tho i'm happy we got the CN armor, always thought it looked WAY better then our r9 (ours is a copy cat of morai and low lvl 40 armor, doesn't really feel epic to wear you know?) i just wish it would be a bit more worth the price. 1500$ for a set that is barely on par with normal r9 isn't remotely worth the price. Perhaps you can suggest dropping sale price on it?

IT KEEPS HAPPENING
For the love of pan gu, it is not 4th cast.
It is china's freaking 3rd cast. It's an overly expensive **** sidegrade, and we are paying the price of having our version go more towards china's version.
I refuse to ever acknowledge it as a 4th cast of R9 simply because of that reason. It is not a 4th cast. It's the chinese 3rd cast.

@thenamesdomino it's simple. Each UPGRADE is a recast.
There is base rank 9 gear, obtained with GST's and medal of glory. That is R9. (first cast)
Then you recast it, using summerwind tokens. Making it a recast. Thus R9r.
Then you recast it again, using basic badges, essence of defense/offense and a mold. Making it a second recast. Thus R9rr

Now if the china sidegrade was an actual upgrade, it would be R9rrr.

Why to me it is not R9rrr, is because the part where R9r becomes R9rr, is where our and china's version differ.
We first need to roll to our version of R9rr, so we can sidegrade it to china's version.
Making it stupid expensive, for next to no value, because it's not worth it one bit. Only the weapon is slightly better, but that has a 1.2k USD price tag.
PWE/PWCN is out of its mind with that.​​

Would it be possible to make a new set of r9 chinese armour, without having to touch the current r9rrr that we have? Using wedding candies or something?

I like the -int on the bm r9 chest, but not going go destroy the set for a stat i have already compensated for, but will work for it if it can be farmed from scratch.​​

PWI should do this. I dont think its currently possible, but in my opinion that's the only way they are going to make bank on the r9sidegrade other than weapon - allow us to keep what we have and those like catabarbs (who might invest in the side-graded belt, for example, for TW) could spend the obscene amounts of money in order to have that desirable piece without obliterating their set bonus never to get it back ever again.

As things stand now only the obscenely rich and really committed will ever bother purchasing this sidegraded armor because you have to do the whole set. For a ton of money.

But well, thats getting close to delving into the pricing and PWIs business strategy in general, so i'll leave off here.

1. That still doesn't mean anyone should ever acknowledge it as a real R9r4, simply because everything (recipes and materials) already exists to go from R9r2 -> CN version of R9r3. Problem being that we don't have those materials and forges available to us in game. That doesn't mean they can't make it available.
The only thing is that they decided to turn this into another money grab to make it more like CN's version, which is absolute BS. They should just offer a service to switch from one another.

Your argument about R9r4 being easier to write, that is for each their own, it's not that hard to write R9r3CN if anything at all. But I also know no one should expect too much reading comprehension around here, the shorter the better, so I suppose you're right on that end.

But it's all just semantics and opinions, so that won't go anywhere.​​

I'm very aware that each upgrade is a recast, I was simply voicing my opinion that instead of all these recasts, just call them new tiers. I like to keep things simple. Adding recasts and everything while everyone has accepted this system and I wont try to buck it, has and probably always will cause confusion. But then again there's been so many upgrades and sidegrades and the like that perhaps adding 15 r's at the end is the only way to make sense of it all. x.x I have a headache.

After 3 r we just start giving the number usually.
r9, r9r, r9rr, r9r4 (I currently don't know anyone that calls it r9rrr). I agree in a way they should be called T for tier, but it would generate more confusion because we currently call T to nirvana/lunar gears.

This would mean we'd have T3R9, T3NV, T3LG, T2WS for example. It does make sense, but in the end it's the same effort to understand i guess xD
Another way ppl tend to differenciate T3 nirvana/lunar from R9 is calling it G16, which is wrong to a certain extent since R9rr and Warsoul are also G16 for example.

I honestly don't know, it's one of those things that just grew in the community and we're just used to this mess. New players however get so confused xD
I think the worst part about this thing is that not only is it called it this way BUT it changes from server to server too xD Back when I played in Harshlands they called it G16, went to Raging Tide and everyone was like "What's g16? ". Meh, made a longer post than I intended :x

Definitely a problem that could have been solved long ago had everyone as a whole on our side came to a consensus about grading. Unfortunately during those days complicated was the name of the game resulting with what we have now. Though knowing there was a time when it could have been made simplified and knowing that nothing was done to make it so makes me a little sad.

From a relatively new players perspective, looking at the systems as they stand now, creates quite the daunting gateway of entry. It's really intimidating.

the solution is a complete overhaul of the system and create a simplier one but of course reality quickly settles in and everyone discovers no one wants to put in that work.

Never in the 7 years I've been playing this game have I ever seen PWI announce sale items in advance. We just have to wait until they go on sale.
