Dragon's Conquest

@mintsummer can you conclusively verify whether or not the TW map is going to be reset?
I mean, It was supposed to be 3 months after the merge.
Then after the usual failure to reset, instead of saying "we're doing it in a couple of weeks", you said "we're waiting for the cross-server TW event so people will have a chance to have 5 lands".
Then it was two to three months before any announcements were made about the cross-server TW, and in the LiveStream we were informed that the map would be reset at this maint, when we get the rest of the expansion that has been dribbled out over the past few months.
Now, you're saying that it's not going to be reset. You're saying "Play it as a trial -- then we will reset the TW map". What does that mean exactly?
When do you plan on resetting the map?
...We will not be resetting the Territory Wars maps right now so that players can enjoy Dragon’s Conquest right away. We will announce the next reset in advance.0 -
I can only assume that they're running into last minute difficulties in the Dragon Conquest patch, hence they don't have time to bother with a maintenance thread.
However, I understand that Domino is only a Community Manager as far as I know, so he's only the messenger. But the messenger had to deliver a message from somewhere and he said that TW Map would be reset along with this Dragon Conquest.0 -

There are requirements for DC. Any guild can sign up, but not 100% guarantee to enter the battle(I updated the blog with more information). And also, system will match up guilds possessed similar amount of territories -- it is hardly to happen that faction with 15 territories VS factionswith 0 territories (still possible, but in a rare chance)
I'm hoping long term the match making will sort itself out on higher level territories. In the sort term however this sounds like it's liable to do some odd things. The first week is a great example of this. There are right now 15 factions across all servers that hold 6+ lands (exactly the same number hold 4+ if you prefer, every server has 4 except Tideswell who has 3). If matched randomly in a pool of 64 factions it's very likely most of these factions will win. They have a 78% chance of being matched with a faction that holds under 4 lands (can't speak to other servers but on TT that's a complete and utter roll). Even if they are matched against one of the other 14 they still have roughly a 50/50 shot. All said and done you'd expect only 1-2 to not hold cross server land after that first week.
With matchmaking you'd expect about half of them to not hold land despite easily being in the top 32 strongest factions in the game. Here's the thing though, that's actually the best case situation with the current system. My biggest worry is actually that Dawnglory will win every comparable match up due largely to time zone advantages. I'm confident of our top factions ability to crush all but a few of Dawnglory's factions. However if you match our top 16 vs their top 16 done in descending order so 1st vs 1st 2nd vs 2nd ect I could see us losing 14+ matches. The only saving grace is that they shouldn't be involved in much more than half or so of the matches but I could easily see them holding 15/32 territories after this weekend. Which frankly is insane as near as I can tell they don't have 15 of the 32 best guilds in the game, and if they do then they'd hold more like 20 lands.0 -
I didn't realise that they probably want to test DC out in case there are bugs and problems. Resetting the map would probably make it take a little longer to see if everything works (especially the land requirement bit and match-ups). It's probably easier to just extend the TW season a little longer in that case. Even if they tested things beforehand, you never know where a bug might pop up.0

Noooo. Why move NW to Sunday.QQ There is already less attendance on Sundays and now there is no other way for other people to find another way to get tokens . I know you gyz are trying your best, but can we have Nw on saturday or something pls. This inconviences a lot of players(no not just me). Idk..., but if no one aggrees then i guess my comment is nulled.:/0

@mintsummer on patch notes there is no TW reduce time for normal TW. So can i have an answer what will be happen if a TW goes for 3 hours on Saturday and same guild has qualified to cross server TW?
PWI wants guilds to choose where they will attend?
We already do that with fakebids and stack attacks we dont want one more such thing0 -

well if you keep listen to sylen ofc you get disappointed
the tw time interval and length reduction is like 2 patches after housing system, therefore we wont see it for at least more 4-5 months, so "not-in-too-distance future" ? yes in a distant future since we received this current patch 8 months after china got it and it is still missing parts such as the VIP system which i deftly want but yea we are receiveing content drop by drop...0 -
There are all kinds of issues here, but the big one I have is that this just basically takes away our TW season indefinitely and hands it over to Dawnglory. The other, much smaller servers, cannot compete with Dawnglory, so DG will basically be getting all the rewards from this new event and everyone else will be screwed, just like in NW. Because they are so much larger, that means a lot more top geared players, and with the limitation on how many members a guild can have, that means more super high ranking member guilds participating. Dawnglory will run the gambit because the other servers can't compete, especially with the awkward American time. We didn't really need ANOTHER off-balanced cross-server PVP event, especially at the expense of something we all work for. Remember, without TW, we have no Resource Wars, either. And many guilds use those TW funds from owning land to help their members improve their gear and provide perks or even TW pay. It ruins the rivalries on our own servers. If they had wanted to do this, it should have been its own thing, and left us our personal server NW and our TW and let this be the cross-server event. I can't imagine why they thought we would want another cross-server event when everyone but Dawnglory hates the one we have. It just sucks to do something and know you can't win. Everyone else just battles for second place, but in this new event, we may not even be able to battle for that, and eventually DG will just be battling amongst themselves and the rest of us will be left out since we won't own enough lands (because those that own the lands get priority). Another off-balanced, stupid system at the expense of something we actually like doing. And make no mistake, 90% of the time when PWI says they are suspending something and they'll just let us know when they will bring it back, means they are trying to phase it out without complaints in the pretty package of something else. I hope Dawnglory makes them enough money because soon it will be all that's left if they keep this up. It is obviously their favorite. I am not a serious cash shopper, but my husband and I have spent a lot of money in this game over the last 6 1/2 years. Probably close to $30K combined. We don't complain about it, it has been our hobby and we do it together. However, I cannot justify spending more money, even if it is our hobby, just to continually lose to other servers. Even if we both are absolute top end gear, +12, etc., it would not help our server win because we don't have the numbers. Period.

Cross-server TW and our regular TW are different things. Factions don't actually have to participate in Dragon's Conquest and can stick to regular TW if they wish.0
-
I'd like to also point out that in TW, even smaller guilds get the opportunity to participate, own land and use that to grow their guild, especially early in the TW season. Sometimes a smaller guild does well and emerges into a top tier guild because of this. The new cross server TW won't allow for this. Smaller guilds will be crushed from the onset and likely never hold land at all unless they get really lucky in their opponents. Even our medium sized guilds will have a difficult time. In fact even our top three will face difficulties and will likely be overrun by DG early on, since they have the numbers to bring in only the very best geared people. This new event just reduces participation down to people with the best gear and everyone else, even well-geared, are left out. It is not incentive to get better gear, it just makes the game crappy.0

Please have 2 nw time, not all can come on sundays slot. And double rewards is making it even worth.0

How will we get the rewards for Cross server Tw? Will the leader of our faction obtain them when it's over, or will each member get something?0

That you fix the time for all these events naturally 0 -
Also, if R9 mats are rewards. Will they be end of season rewards? Or what? dx0

we all know that it will be reduced but not now. sylth just mentioned.
Now we can just wait0 -
Anyone has info about the cross server TW map etc?0

Not to worry. In the not-too-distant future, TW will no longer be three hours long. It will only be 100 minutes, and battles will start one minute from each other instead of three. (Source)sylenthunder said:waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
just realised that if you have TW on saturday @17:06 server time and cross server at 20:00 in a 3 hours TW you cant go to both
well played PWI
@gaborcika1 copy/paste from the official anounce "Faction Leaders interested in testing their mettle can sign up for Dragons’ Conquest by talking to Rong Utsin at 585, 665 in Archosaur and paying 10 million coins to select the territory they wish to invade."
PWI Crew lately isnt so good with timelines. So future maybe will be next year0
