It's always pay to win in just about any F2P title. The question is how you pay. Either in time farming the gear, or in dropping money into the cash shop. That is the nature of the beast.

I do sincerely hope you mean that you just created a temp account to ask this question, because borrowing one would be a severe infraction of the Terms of Service.

So it's imposible to play without paying money? (success play). By the way, account kinda belongs to no one, I created this when I lost my first account then I got back it and now it's just for simple questions.

Even if you would pay (thousands of dollars) it would most likely take too much time to compete with the best geard 0,1%. There is too much to do now, you will most likely never be able to compete if you start right now. Most likely servers will shut down forever before you maxed out everything.

Oh btw, this wasn't pessimistic, just realistic lol.
I'd be not surprised if this game is still here in 2-3 years. But it would take more time to keep up (even if you play everyday for 3-4h).
There are many others which are not maxed too. Just fight those.

It is possible, but it will take a lot of time. And for that you need to be experienced in game, learn items prices, make good trades, merch, farm in appropriate moments in appropriate places and if possible not to quit for long time. Because sometimes PWE is unexpectedly generous and throws gifts left and right and sometimes there is nothing in months.
You can make advantage of bonuses for buying or spending gold, but for that you better have startup sum and study market for a while, and success will depend on how enterprising you are.
It's a bit harder to make money out of nothing than before pig-47.gif but if you have nothing to compare, it may work.

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to be successful in any kind of pvp, then yes it's pay to win. But all pve content can be done just fine by free players.

With enough money you can more or less max everything (except star chart as you don't really max that per say) in about 6 months actually. You might be missing a couple of primal skills and a couple of levels or rb levels but that would be all. Honestly if you did that on a DB or SB you may very well be the strongest on your server considering class balance. I would not you'd have spent six figures USD in a few months to get that portal set rb2 but it can be done.

Yeah you can't buy absolutely everything but if you buy everything you can buy then what's left isn't going to take you that long. For an example you can't buy SS10 however you can buy SS1 with 100% pills, log off for a few weeks then run every single vitae providing quest in the game at once to get SS10 in under a month total. Yeah you can't buy bloods, but if you pay the best sky drake group on your server 1b for every entry they get you then you'll be getting them rather quickly.

Yea you can. This might not be the easiest to do but try not to worry about the next guy.
Just focus on your own toon and celebrate your progress : )

Oh yeah to answer the OPs question. Since you said still I assume you've played pwi before. The level of p2w has, in my opinion anyway, stayed more or less about the same ever since packs came out. It's got somewhat harder for f2p players over time but that's just because the player base is getting older so there are less things paying players need off free players. It's decent to think of it like international trade without loans. Payland has luxury cars and bread like it always has. Freeland has always had key chains and old cars. Early on that situation kinda works as people in Payland need a key chain or two and Payland people that can't afford their own luxury cars can get the cheap Freeland ones imported. Over time however all the Payland people get all the key chains they need and have a car of some kind. Freeland however still needs bread to eat and would really like those luxury cars if they could just afford them. Because of this Paylands currency winds up being worth far more than it originally was. (Bread=most consumables, Key chains=Various bits and pieces obtained from game play that aren't a cash shop item (Sealed flyers are a decent example), Old cars=nv3 and similar, Luxury cars = r9 and pack items like vit stones, wishful wing tokens and josd)

To give you some numbers in rough terms it takes about two years of farming a couple of hours a day and doing dailies for coin to get a fairly good but not great set of pvp gear. A decent to good set of pve gear is more like 2-3 months after leveling. You may make coin faster by flipping things, however that's always going to be a 0 sum game after inflation.

Oh, speaking about packs, there are a lot of ppl who cs a lot and spend all on packs. Considering that packs like any lottery are supposed to make you try your luck, not to make you rich, absolute majority wastes money. Not everyone who CSs is rich, not everyone who doesn't is poor x)

This is partly true. People who spend gold on the 60s packs with new items in them often don't do very well out of it. More so if they are just randomly spending $20-100 on random new packs every now and again like that.

On the other hand if someone buys a thousand crown or hidden orchid packs... Luck is still a factor but it averages out so they will still have quite solid chunk of coins at the end even with bad luck. Hell for hidden orchids they'd have 450m or so even if they opened 100% tokens and nothing else (that's including the DoDs they get).
