PVP Options

Been wondering which would be better to take endgame. Dusk or Archer... I keep hearing different information in game... the majority says dusk however there are some that say the Archer has more pvp options. So I just wanted to see what people on the forum thought about it. (mainly because the forum is kinda dead these days) I know ultimately its going to be up to which class I like playing the most and so forth; however, I would like to focus on the class capabilities both defensively and offensively.
Thanks

IMHO, I think between the two would be the DuskBlade. This is something I'm starting to test, but from what my Archer friend is telling me, the DB would pwn in even gear.0

Um is this a troll or serious question.
If serious question then I will assume you are relatively new to the game so apologies if you feel patronised. The answer is Duskblade. It's currently 'the most OP' class in PWI. Offensively and defensively light years ahead compared to Archer. It's similar to comparing a Nintendo 64 vs a PlayStation 4.
In 1v1 equalised gear/stat and skill level it should only lose to it's hard counter Assassin/Barbarian/possibly Blademaster.
In mass PvP it can use a number of good teleport skills with multiple cooldown resets to enjoy amazing mobility and also has a very nice passive ability to reduce damage from enemies standing more than 8(?)m away in some cases up to 99% reduction when the new skills come out, which makes it very survivable with only Assassin enjoying marginally better passive survivability due to Tidal status effect resistance.
It has GoF (Archer gets purge on r9 weapon) and the most amount of paralyses compared to any class (paralyze is the negative status effect preventing movement or skill use that cannot be purified out of and works through regular anti stun) which gives them arguably the best CC (crowd control) in the game, and also they have the capability to chain combos which allow them to hit the hardest of any class in the game, with multiple hit skills which increase the chance of GoF (God of Frenzy).
Conversely Archers hit the weakest in the game of probably all the classes on a similar gear level, also their CC is severely restricted compared to most classes and also they suffer a deadzone nerf where they deal half damage to targets close to them.
Basically at this point of the game you would be stupid to pick to endgame an Archer over a Duskblade. Coming from an Archer.
Unless you shell out like $500k to take it to Neuma Portal 2nd Rebirth level with a ridiculously broken Star Chart in which case it would be pretty OP and hit relatively hard but still would die quite easy if focused by several people in mass pvp but a Duskblade with that kind of gear would be approaching GM level of brokenness.

Hey, yes I am fairly new to the game. I didn't know dusk blades had such an advantage in game I would have expected those type of comments towards a storm bringer actually. Wow didn't know Archers had it so bad, I mean I've seen NW videos of archers surviving heavy onslaught from other R9r3 players which gave me the impression that they could be pretty tanky endgame with josd possibly more so than a dusk? I know the DB's weakness is getting hit close range so I figured they would go down pretty fast in a gank since they would take heavy damage without the reduction. As far as dmg goes I have been in a few squads with archers pulling agro from casters and sins alike so I was under the impression that they did considerable damage.
I just want to say thank you for your comments I definitely like the dusk game play so I don't mind focusing on the dusk instead of the archer. I just don't have as many resources to spend on several characters and trying them out so I really appreciate you helping me narrow my decision down.0 -
Archer is better than Duskblade at mass pvp. They can attack from long range and purge to support other characters. In 1v1/smaller fights, Duskblade is much stronger.0
