How to unlock aware of principle?

Heya, I just started playing a winged elf, a cleric to be exact. And I have been wanting to get revive to help others out and all, then I realized you needed Aware of Principle to get that skill.
Is there a guide someone can tell me about how to unlock that? I've done all the quests in the newbie area and was wondering if I did something wrong. Thanks!
