Absence note not working

I crafted an absence note for my stormy since my ISP has been spotty these past few days in my place. It's not working despite several times I click the "Fill Check'' button in my log calendar. Is there something wrong with it or there's a new way of using it. I used one 6 moths ago and it worked nicely
