I get a direct ping of ~150ms and I live in SE Michigan. In-game it's usually about 250.
If there is a delay on skill casting, I'm not noticing it. It's that insignificant.

So while it is sad that some of you guys are having a really high ping to the server, it's probably not the norm.
So far barely anyone has posted what their route looks like so we can take a look at causes. I imagine that it mostly has to do with distance, or some particular place your route is jumping through.

Lastly, if you spent enough to buy a decent car with on pixels, you may need to rethink your spending habits. ​​

PS I've had no issue with PWI. I enjoy playing and still spend a bit of money on the game.

The few tickets over the past 6 years have been answered timely.

My lag issues on my end have been from my ISP or a hub with issues and rare at that.

My Tracert is 15 hops ave 175ms which translates to 1900ms, at best, in game.

I make over $300K/yr I can spend $10k on this game, besides I am sure PWI is (was) quite happy with my spending habits.

That was tounge-in-cheek, not an affront to your spending habits. I joke often about spending real money on pixels that you don't even technically own. (According to the ToS)

175ms does not translate into 1900ms in-game. The in-game ping trace is round-trip, so it's measuring the ping to the server and then back to your client. Unless you have something else causing a problem, your in-game ping will rarely be higher than double the one-way.

What does your traceroute look like?
Have you fully excluded the client from all AV software and firewalls?
Are you on Comcast? We've had a commonality with Comcast users lately having high latency and dropped packets.

Feel free to start a thread in the correct forum and post the information we need to assist you in finding the source of the latency.

Edit: I've been logged in for a while now, and the highest I'm seeing is 344ms in-game ping with no noticeable delay on skills. For playing across the Atlantic, it's not doing that bad.​​

I have had to play on US servers since I started playing this game would rather transfer to the EU server myself... But I know its not going to happen any time soon... Getting the NW/TW/PK Server Vs Server events will be a start. We said Server Merges would not happen and yet they have so DONT hold out that it may happen but well never say say never... As for the server your on now find a better way to deal with the issues at hand. Like many of us have had to.

I am really sorry as the moderator that you have not had any in game lagging issues,but all weekend on the game was absolutely horrendous.Please don't use the excuse of it is my connection and just an isolated thing because it isn't.Most of our faction had severe lag issues all weekend to the point that there 5 minutes lag spikes just hitting a mob and forget even going into a cave unless you wanted your char standing in the same spot for 10 mnutes.No it is not my computer nor my router as I have checked both and then realized everyone else was having the same issues.PWI should actually address and fix this issue insta\ead of blaming it on everyone else and their comps.It's not the 1st time this has happened.So happy to be forced to play on an EU server and not be able to play.So now we just sit in vent and talk about how PWI doesn't care what we say anyway(moderator-I'm not havng issues so it ust be your problem lol).I have [;ayed this game for many many years and wish you alll would just give some honest answers instead of blaming peoples comps when its clearly not the issue.I don't wish to quit anytime soon but with the lag I won't have a choice.

Honestly, if you really spent that money and has been moved from EC time zone to EU time zone, then I'm pretty sure they could find a specific solution for you if you use the good words.
It happened in the past (just saying)...
Just tell them you work during NW/TW time and that those events are the reason why you spent that much money (and the reason why you could continue spending more money)
Write that to the support without being aggressive and I'm sure your ticket will arrive to someone that can create a new char (same gears/level) for you on the server you want.
They won't do it for anyone, but they will do it for you (or anyone else who would have spent 10k)

(But don't even think to get some refund)

It's not your connection. It's not PWE's conneciton. It's not the server.
It's the internet between you and PWE.

Now take off your tin foil hat, do some reading, and educate yourself on reality. Seriously, it's not rocket science, and there's no magical connection between your ISP and the server. It's a freaking massive freeway of data with many interchanges that can **** things up. You ever get stuck in traffic on the freeway? It's basically the same thing. Or do you blame the place you're going to because you didn't get instantly teleported to their location? (Yes, it's an obvious exaggeration. It's humor. But you guys really seriously need to get over this ignorance about what goes on with the data between your client and the server. It's almost like you're intentionally being dim just so you can complain.)
I'm playing on a **** 12Mbps/1Mbps internet connection because I live in the country, and I've got a more solid connection to Dawnglory than some people living in Europe with a 75Mbps connection. Simply because I'm hitting nodes without high latency or dropped packets between me and the server.

Once you've gotten over that, post some data we can analyze to help you find where your problem is.

P.S. me being a moderator has absolutely no bearing on my connection to the server. Why would you even put those together?​​

I was tempted to edit/sink/close it right from the get-go, but figured I'd leave it open in case the OP actually wanted some help. So far, we've been able to narrow down the cause for the majority of people who have asked for help and provided the necessary information. For the people that simply whine, we cannot do anything.​​

For OP, on a serious note. Visit the tech support side of the forum. Sylenthunder and others provide amazing tech support here regarding tech issues.

Read these threads before first (forgot the tags for linking, lazy brain), if you do not read the posts, pay someone 500 dollars to read the posts and give you a summary for it.

I posted an old thread, I get about 250~450 ping while playing in the subcontinent. While in montreal, i used to get 100~300 ping. There must be something really wrong if you are in the usa and you get that ping.​​

THE ONLY Issue I have with PWI is the empty promise of Name Changing Stones, the unfixed Account Stash issue, Missing Faction Icons, and the inability of server transfers for the players who were originally in an East Coast Server and are now in a European Server. Though that last one is literally me adding some alcohol to the wound.

Aside from that, PWI is perfect to play! You pay butt loads of money for nothing more then 2 second visual changes. After all, who wouldn't want to pay $450 for a battle pet, or $300 for a non-combat pet? How about $5 for an item that has a weeks worth of time on it? Or $50 for a flyer? Or how about $900 worth of packs to give you nothing but tokens and a small handful of best tokens?

Yeah! This game is really worth every cent, even the lies are worth it.

Its impossible to play on the Dawnglory server when u live on the US east coast, its obvious, very high ping (350-500ms), impossible to do event due to time zone...

Reading other posts is too hard, so best to move to europe to reduce ping, that is your only solution. You already spent 10k on the game. 1k = ticket, 5k = rent for a few months to a year. 3k = food expense. 1k transport cost for finding a new job, all set to move to europe.​​

lol are u kidding me?
EU players on US servers got a ping of ~800ms in archo, 400-ish in instances when they are lucky, (ofc theres some lucky ones with slightly better connection), and the known issues that in the evening u suffer from massive lag (im talking bout ping of 5-23k+, if u can even log in at all and w/o getting "server error" all the time)

and ur seriously crying bout 350-500ms?

EU players on US servers have to get up at 4-5am for the main events like TW/NW/RW
