Weapon progression - clues please

I'm a returning player - used to dreamchaser quest weapons and before that getting them in BH.

Raising a seeker from scratch, got a quest for a weapon at lvl30 but not anything since then (now lvl 51).

Is there a sequence of quests for weapons and armour, do they drop in BH or is it a desert until TT at lvl60?

    Quicksand Maze gear is the new low level gear. Seems it's a bit better than TT from what I've heard. You can farm your first set in the 50-64 range. I'm not sure how hard it is to get a squad, but my understanding is that it doesn't take a lot of runs to get all the mats you'll need. I think I've heard about 3 runs, but I don't know if that's per piece or per set.

    Just keep in mind, you won't be upgrading Quicksand gear for end game later. You'll eventually need TT to upgrade to G16 (if you don't go rank), but for the little amount of work that seems to be involved, I think Quicksand may be worth it.

    Ah, very helpful, thanks.

    Does anyone know if crafting the QM gear requires corresponding crafting levels or is it just like an exchange?

    You make it at a forge, but I don't know the manufacturing requirements. I have this odd idea that it's like the warsong forges where you just need level 1 of the relevant crafting skill. You could go down and look in the forge to find out.

    I've been and looked and there are no requirements, you just need the mats.
