Easy class for solo (casual player)

Hi guys
I haven't been played PWI for ...very long, but I need to admit I had never been high lvl player :)
Now want to go back ...for fun.
I have very limited time so I don't think I can get a guild or play with party. My destiny is... solo most of the time.

Looking at char descriptions I decided to play Assasin or Duskblade. Duskblade is pretty new so I started with him.
For now I am lvl 22 and it looks cool.

But I am not sure if at higher lvls my char will be as good as now in pve. I do not have time to check another char or quit one and start second... so please advice me who should I play. Duskblade or Assasin? Hmm maybe none of them and other classes are better to solo play...

Thanks in advance :)

I should think either would be good for solo. Duskblades, being a new class are pretty unbalanced from the other classes, so they'll be strong. Before them, assassins were always the best soloing class, but I really don't know if the new classes changed that. With a duskblade, you'll probably always be hunting an assassin to bp you. I think that might be the thing you should take into consideration if you don't think you'll make an alt sin bp buff slave. I don't really know about soloing ability at low levels though; as light armor users, both classes are pretty squishy until you start gearing up, but it's easy enough to get help on low level quests.

    For solo:
Barbarian: Can be problematic to chase down ranged mobs, but has strong survivability. Lowish damage output
Venomancer: Tanky pets make this class ideally suited for slow-ish solo play. Since there's relatively few of them, they're also wanted for parties if you ever do go that way.
Archer: Troublesome to solo with, lack of selfhealing.
Cleric: A little fragile but strong regenerative capabilities allow this class to solo well enough. Becomes a powerhouse once you have violet dance, primal cyclone and elven boon, but that requires quite a bit of grinding.
Blademaster: Surprisingly strong in solo play. It can regenerate health quite well due to Diamond Sutra (leave at lvl1 if you're worried about mana loss - 20% HP regain for one spark isn't bad), and a fist bm is effective at soloing. Chasing down ranged mobs can get tedious though.
    Wizard: No. Just no.
Seeker: Lacks regenerative capabilities that you kind of need for solo play. Nice mix of melee and ranged skills though.
Mystic: Surprisingly good at solo play - it can heal, has weak-ish pets to handle some aggro, CC and debuff at their plants, and the Resurrect buff to safeguard against oopsies - meaning you can be a bit more risky with this class early on. Also deals both wood and physical (and metal in a pinch with the storm mistress).
Sin: Bloodpainted stabfishes are the usual go-to toon for soloing things. This class is made for solo play and high damage dealing, but almost all damage is physical. Since it's a popular class, skillbooks tend to be expensive.
Psy: Wizard with better healing. Still wouldn't recommend it for solo, just too fragile.
Dusk: Dunno, haven't played one. At a glance it seems too fragile.
Storm: Casting on the move is something the NPCs weren't designed for, so this class, if played well, tends to be VERY effective at solo play.

The only thing I'd add to that is that Sins don't get good at soloing until the higher levels. Below that they are terrible - I used a main a Mystic and was absolutely sick of constantly ressing sins in BH runs.

I'm 'a returner' and so far I think Storm is an uber class for soloing. Dumps out massive damage while running and has a huge Phys def buff (reaper form).

You know, there's a difference between someone playing a sin that knows what he is doing and knows what he can not do
And the type of person that is playing a sin that thinks he can do anything because he is playing a sin, right?

Sins are fine in any level, just have to have some basic knowledge.

Yep. Sins at lower levels that go all out on damage tend to draw aggro - and can't handle that so they die in a few hits.

Smart sins learn to manage their aggro at some point. Idiots just keep on zerglinging themselfs to death.

Aye, but the OP was asking for a good *solo* class.

IMO, BM is better than Sin for that, at least until the sin gets geared up in some -interval stuff.

-If you think barbs have a low damage output, i suggest you either get your eyes checked, or stop being bad. Noobs that think vit build is the only barb build are the same people that are suprised when a barb crits them without arma for stupid numbers. APS barb or str barb builds solo easily, even without BP, due to sunder, frighten, invoke, bestial rage, solid sheild, ToP, and cornered beast. If you are demon, you can get all this while doing lots of crits, and if you are sage, you take less damage to begin with.

-Venos are one of the most played classes, why do you think the phrase "KoS venos" exist?

-The heal on diamond sutra is neglegable one you get past spending time fighting mobs outside instances, its useful, but its meh.

-Wizards are simlar to clerics in their ability to solo.

-Seekers have regen skills so i dont know what you mean by this. Blood thirsty blitz recovers 20% hp for 50 chi, and there is also last stand. It's not much, but if you have BP, seekers are better at soloing than a veno or psy.

-Dusk blades have higher DPS than any class in game that isnt using APS. They have skills that give some HP regen, they have skills that reduce dmg, and they have a blood frenzy like skill.

Other than that no quams on the other things you mentioned. The easiest classes to solo with is probably a mystic or barb however. They just need less than other classes to get rolling. A g16 set, some okay ornies, and a g16 wep and ur good to go.

Thank you all for your sugestions and sharing your knowledge.

As a melee fighters lover I decided to stay with Duskblade. Still litlle bit hesitate because of Assasin and Blademaster but I am 31 lvl and play still looks cool :)
