Unlearn primal skills

is there a way to unlearn primal skills without spending 20 golds and buying all the books again ?
on 8/4 i really appreciate if GMs "mess" up my skills so they are all LV 11 again.....i will give you a big hug/kiss

Or you could think if the skills are worth learning before learning them. Granted its idiotic archer skills can be downgraded by learning higher level of the skill but its what it is. 0

you are one of the lucky persons who learn from mistakes of others........if you don't learn the skills how do you know it's uselss/downgrade (i am one of the first archer who learned all the primal skills when UCH is not a thing)........I learned those primal skills, and I warn other archers not the learn it...... you and many others should thank me (or others) for such big sacrifice and not firing that back at me
don't be such a D and blame me for learning those skills

Or I actually thought what skills were combined to what and decided to not learn them before anybody had learned them? Arguments for and against were pretty clear and I chose accordingly. If I should thank anybody, its Asterelle and he, as far as I know, never learned them either. 0 -
i don't know if it is incorrect or not....but that freaking skill is 1000000% useless

Well, you cannot "un-learn" a skill. Support cannot remove said skill either.
The practice is to research what you are doing before you do it.
No one here can do anything to help.
You are pretty much stuck with what you've got. Either live with it, or spend the money to re-roll.0 -

I cant say if its still incorrect as I havent learned it but I dont think it really matters. It cant proc purge, despite claiming so but even if it worked as claimed it would still be useless. As Sylen said, nobody can do anything bout it. Well I assume support could manually adjust skill levels but they have never done it before. I also have no idea how difficult task changing this thing would be. There is no other option to unlearn them but changing culti and then changing it back if you dont want to swap. I gave good general advice, think it trough when you do things you cant undo, which would of saved you here. 0 -

yeah gave me that advice when primal first came out......it's uselss for me now....
you don't know how big is the rush to learn primal skills when they first came out....and i admit my excitement cover my awareness of the usefulness of these skills because i assume they will be useful as they are labeled "new skills"

I said its good general advice, which you might want to keep in mind for future. I have to ask, why would I not know bout "rush to learn primal skills"? Def passive was obviously far more important and after you seriously start to think bout the skills you realize you dont want any. Some are meh, not gonna hurt but not worth the effort of farming bloods either. The rest are downgrades because you lose more valuable skills.

if you do all the primal quests and such...you have enough blood to learn both the passive and new skills....atleast for me because the passive skills need sky LV, so there is always enough time to save bloods for both

I have to disagree.....if frost splash grants 100% purge procs......it is a different story.....it is definitely a worth learning skill..... it could be nicer to lower the cool down to 2 mins with 100% purge proc....such badass skill...0 -

Uhm no you dont. Passives are 300 bloods. All skills total to 160. 460 bloods. You get some from unique quest(s) so lets reduce it by 20. 440 bloods = 220 days = Over 7 months. This is way longer than it takes to max boundary level, I should know, I am building up my alt.
While you now get more vitae from chains than you used to, my alt is almost Astral sky after ~month of primals. So prior to to Luneska update it was even more difficult to keep up with bloods for passives alone. I know I didnt, then again I hated UCH with such a passion I didnt do it.
Either way it should of taken you more than few days to get to making your primal skills if you got your passives first like you should of. While I agree its silly upgrading a skill can be a downgrade, this is really your own fault. 0 -
Some advise, there is an in game encyclopedia that gives all the details of the new skills when they are released in game, next time new skills are released (or is you happen to have a SB / DB for the new patch update) I suggest using it to see what exactly it is you're learning first.full +12 SB, currently lv 105 105 1050

if you want to blame someone, blame PWE/PWCN for coming up with such lousy "new skills" for archer. When they came up with primal "new skills", they also imply that "the new skills are powerful and useful, you need to learn them to catch up with others, you need to learn it, learn it , learn it, learn it....." and let me tell you how powerful this message is...one of the newbie archers in my fact said, " OMG I finally learned frost splash....it's a new skill and it's so powerful look at the description....." i need to try really hard to make him realize how big the mistake he just made.
Therefore, if you want to point your finger, don't point it to the players who trust their game provider

an X company put up a commercial on TV and said their products can do this do that
People believe and buy those products but didn't get the results they want
and some D would jump out and say "you guys are stupid, you don't do research on the products, so IT'S YOUR FAULT"....no, a normal human doesn't do that
there are 2 things you should do:
1) Help the victims get back what they lost/ what they deserve, call police/authority and report the false advertisement, provide proofs, evidence to prove the false advertisement
2) Shut the hell up and don't interfere with what's the victims are doing to get back what they deserve.

TV argument is silly. People are "experts" on PWI or least its way easier to be one here compared to some TV expert. PWI mechanics are really simple and you can see the stats. Better example would be comparing stats of TVs, where one is better in every relative way according to information you have and the other has some "We da best" add for it and picking the 2nd one cause of the add.
I am bit tired of this attitude nowdays where people blame others for their own mistakes. I did agree its silly archer primal skills can be downgrades but it doesnt change the fact you chose to learn the downgrade.

Isn't this similar to the bm hillborn skill? Hillborn combines two aoe skills (highland and fissure), for bm like me who are primarily pve, aoe types, this was a bad move. For pvp the skill is great. I never got the skill, even though others did and they like it. We discussed the pro and cons on the bm forums, and everyone made their choice afterwards. I was bad because we lost constant aoe power, there was a cool down of 1~2 seconds i believe.

Holy hell you're beyond delusionally arrogant. All the newbies will not see this post, because it's going to be buried in general section. They're going to be able to get their two brain cells to stop fighting long enough to go to the archer section, and read the actually useful posts that go in-depth describing the pros and cons of each skill to make an informed decision.
I mean c'mon, you're being a D even by your own standards. If you weren't willing to even look in the archer section, you damn well wouldn't have read a post in general section even further buried for the advice. So why would they, if they are going by the same process you used.

You do realize we discussed these in dept before anybody had learned them? The discussions started pretty soon after they were released in China. The problem with devs is they dont play the game and as a result they do changes, which are just stupid to players. For devs they added AoE, more dmg to another AoE, better shield and higher dmg on another skill. In truth not so much and as a result its up to players to think what they are doing.

Not really same thing. I know what you talking bout though. For archer the 3 downgrades are sage Frost Splash as you lose sage Frost Arrow. Sage Frost Arrow deals water damage, which is a useful PvP perk. And 99% of the time its better to spend those 2 sparks Frost Splash takes on BoA.
The other 2 downgrades are sage and demon Feather Armageddon. It combines our 2 melee skills, one AoE and one not, into a single AoE. You gain some more flat damage. The issue here is the flat damage is like 7k iirc. Compared to what people hit these days thats pretty marginal. The real drawback though is losing your single target melee skill. This melee skill has 2s CD and is thus extremely useful if you are DDing on melee range, be it PvP or PvE.
Rest of the upgrades are more dmg to a DoT, which we wont be worth using even after primal version, just like the lvl 11 versions werent. Then there is primal Winged Shell. Primal increases the amount of damage absorbed but as that dmg is 2k iirc as primal version, its not really worth using either way. It works as a defense charm though but first hit will break it, be it level 1 or primal. 0 -

The problem with devs is they dont play the game and as a result they do changes, which are just stupid to players. For devs they added AoE, more dmg to another AoE, better shield and higher dmg on another skill. In truth not so much and as a result its up to players to think what they are doing.
I am bit tired of this attitude nowdays where people blame others for their own mistakes. I did agree its silly archer primal skills can be downgrades but it doesnt change the fact you chose to learn the downgrade.
Isn't this similar to the bm hillborn skill? Hillborn combines two aoe skills (highland and fissure), for bm like me who are primarily pve, aoe types, this was a bad move. For pvp the skill is great. I never got the skill, even though others did and they like it. We discussed the pro and cons on the bm forums, and everyone made their choice afterwards. I was bad because we lost constant aoe power, there was a cool down of 1~2 seconds i believe.
I am sure, on the archer forum, people discussed the primal skills and their drawbacks.
Not really same thing. I know what you talking bout though. For archer the 3 downgrades are sage Frost Splash as you lose sage Frost Arrow. Sage Frost Arrow deals water damage, which is a useful PvP perk. And 99% of the time its better to spend those 2 sparks Frost Splash takes on BoA.
The other 2 downgrades are sage and demon Feather Armageddon. It combines our 2 melee skills, one AoE and one not, into a single AoE. You gain some more flat damage. The issue here is the flat damage is like 7k iirc. Compared to what people hit these days thats pretty marginal. The real drawback though is losing your single target melee skill. This melee skill has 2s CD and is thus extremely useful if you are DDing on melee range, be it PvP or PvE.
Rest of the upgrades are more dmg to a DoT, which we wont be worth using even after primal version, just like the lvl 11 versions werent. Then there is primal Winged Shell. Primal increases the amount of damage absorbed but as that dmg is 2k iirc as primal version, its not really worth using either way. It works as a defense charm though but first hit will break it, be it level 1 or primal.
yeah it starts pretty soon after it release in China.......but nobody knows exactly what the skills do until somebody actually learn it and say something......like i said....don't blame the players for this, if you want to point your finger point it at PWE/PWCN who is mildly autism as asterele always says.....
PS: many players don't care enough to go into forum and i don't think it is a wrong thing to do.....in the end it's just a game, and we have a life and so we only have a little time to enjoy the game. I don't think majority would spend that free time reading forum......it's a miracle that i still play this game......
the down grace of feather armegedon hits sage the hardest....since sage wingstrike only has 1s coold down......it can be spammed like cleric spam cyclone.....I missed my sage wingstrike QQ

As said to you before OP, the only way to reset your skills is to switch cultivations, switch back, and then relearn your skills. That's a workaround to unlearning your skills. It is your responsibility to know if you'd like a skill or not, but if you really wanted to plead your case you should do so via ticket. I'm closing this now for the continued flaming.0
