Professions tip!

Hey everyone,
I learned quite a bit from all the help experienced people give around here, so I thought I would give seome help now to some of us new players. If you want to open the extra slot that states completing a task with 100% speed reduction, or however it states it, using platesmithing buy 4 master platesmiths which cost around $2,500 currently a piece. Do the mass resources gathering and add 3 more of the master platesmiths into the additional slots. Boom when your done it unlocks the slot! Not sure I'd it works on the lower gathering time one, I did it in the 6 hour one. Hope this helps!

    The fastest way should be Alchemy. I don't know the price of the master though.

    For Platesmithing, you can do that in a level 4 rare task.
    For alchemy, you can do that in level 1 regular task. That takes a few minutes (if you are lucky).

    You can do it using the first task you get, the 6 hour one, with any of the professions as long as you have 4 masters. I just bought masters for each of my characters to open the slot, already completed and worked on two.

    I gotta agree with Plasticbat, Alchemy is the fastest and even better, unlike platesmithing (only useful for a GF), is a skill that can be useful for all characters. Even if you need to craft the vitriols, it is still less than 30 mins (most of the time) to open that second slot. It may cost a little more short term, but will pay off long term as potions will always have a good market.

    Unfortunately, alchemy tools are no longer the bargain they once were or it would be the best one to get the rank 3 slot also. I was lucky, I keep two messages in my mailbox, one with 2 Grandmaster Alchemists and one with 4 Mithral tools. When I make an alt, they take them in and return when the slots are unlocked.

    You are right. My mistake.
    I don't think you need to buy masters for each of your character though. Can you mail the masters to another character (in Xbox)?

    Doh! I thought you couldn't mail them. <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, well that's alright anyways I guess I just have most of the professions with masters now besides jewelcrafting, crazy the prices on those. I heard leveling wise alchemy was easiest, I'm really just using them for the extra slot to do more leadership tasks.

    Ok... Can someone do a quick walk thru for the 100% speed bonus unlock? I feel like I am V8 with 2 cylinders firing when I try and read some of this stuff.

    Yes you can mail them .I just spent about a week consolidating all my crafts. Now I have a character that is at level 20 in each craft. I have 5 of ten crafting with all 9 slots running

    Get 4 blue people assets.
    Pick profession long gathering task.
    Fill 3 asset spots with 3 remaining blue people.

    Thats easy 4 blues or two Purples will open that one up
