How do you build your Arcane Mastery?

My current build have very unreliable source of AM stacks what causes in quite lowered damage and control.
Would like to know your ways to build and keep Arcane Mastery stacks.

Practiced Feedback would be very appreciated.

This isn't something worth focusing attention on during battle, the passive bonuses from arcane mastery is negligible in most cases. Chill tends to be the focus of CW builds these days due to chilling presence replacing the functions of arcane mastery and surpassing them by several times and, of course, the inherent CC.

Fastest way I have found to build stacks of AM is using entangling force on tab... 1 stack per add affected by it's pull. I've been using this more and more to clear trash (particularly archers) in the T2s. Quite easy to get 5 stacks up straight away. This gives your steal time and OF some oooff.

If you're a MoF there's also a 30% chance with Scorching Burst through a feat in Renegade.

I am using 30% chance Renegade feat, but I find it not effective enough both on PvP and PvE.
Also, tabbed EF is still to slow on PvP and I can`t afford it on PvE (on tab slot sits FtF).

Stacks go down really fast. They *can* be refreshed by RoE (PvE ST) / EF (PvP) / SoteA (PvE AoE) but still vanished before CD.
I bet I have too low Recharging time.

Well, it would be much easier if Disintegrate would give a stack of Arcane Mastery as it`s Arcane power. Meh..
    btw. Thanks for response.

Oppforce gives 5 and steal time gives 1. It has 8 or 10 secs CD as I remember.
If you shot something (steal time, magic missile) between oppforces you can keep 5 stacks up.

I agree with the OP, Disintegrate needs to add a stack of Arcane Mastery.

Here's what I run as a MoF to keep AM AND Chill stacks at max about 80% of the time.

    Tab: Conduit of Ice
    Q: Fanning the Flame
    E: Ray of Enfeeblement
    R: Repel

    Left-Click: Chilling Cloud
    Right-Click: Scorching Burst

Class Features: Chilling Presence, Critical Conflagration

Dailies: Ice Knife/Icy Storm, Oppressive Force

As long as you're alternating between RoE and Repel, you'll constantly get 1 AM every 5-7 seconds. Conduit of Ice serves to start the Chill stacks while Chilling Cloud maintains them through combat. Once I have Max Stacks of Chill and AM, I release Icy Storm or Oppressive Force depending on the average health of the adds.

If the adds are at less than 35%: Icy Storm.

If the adds are higher than 35%: Oppressive Force.

NOTE: Scorching burst is NOT feated through the renegade path.

This provides constant AM at 5 stacks, but you loose party-wide 20% damage bonus and 60% smolder bonus for 20% critical severity. Also, you loose another 48% damage by no freeze and I can`t imagine where given spells would be used.

    However, thanks for your input.
From what I see, RoE is common used for building Arcane stacks, but always in pair with some (unwanted in my case) other arcane spell.

I played around with MOF for a few weeks, and while CP + Swath of Destruction provide best damage, Swath + Critical Conflaguration wasn't too far behind with a high crit build (Phantasmal Destruction instead of Chilling Advantage). If your running CC & SoD you don't really need Scorching Burst (or even FtF) which can make room for Magic Missile.
Other than that, I would rely on OF to build arcane stacks.
