I am wondering if there are any patch notes on the classes for this upcoming content. I want to build a new character, as my rogue has been sidelined. I wanted to make either a Warlock or a Great Weapon Fighter, but the latter lacks as a full class at the moment. I may build a Warlock now, and then wait to build another character again until the Paladin comes out.

A) Who knows? If they are actually doing fixes, then yes. I know they've mentioned they are working on game performance fixes but I haven't seen anything about the classes. Hard to say whether we will see said fixes or not.
There is nothing wrong with GWF.
C) I'm not sure why I'm offering answers, I don't actually see a questions there lol. It seems like you kind of have your mind made up already? :P
GWF is somewhat flawed in PvP because rogues ignore our DR on some attacks, but we have no dodge mechanics. Unfortunately they are also the most played class in PvP.
I'm pretty sure they ignore any classes DR buffs, so it's not just us - it's either WAI or a problem with TR's. And you absolutely can dodge by timing Sprint use - do it all the time. Only way I can survive Lostmauth's "lazer" eyes. Granted it's not nearly as "automatic" as the other classes, but it works.

To your response:
A) That is sort of the reason I was asking. I know they're working on things, but it's all hush hush.
Nothing wrong with the GWF? You might live on another planet. I hear more people complain about how god awful it is, and that's from guys with 18,000+ GS on them. The fighter class in D&D is a defender class, but here that is what the Guardian does. They cut the marking for the GWF too much I think, and that hurts it as a tank. Then you think that they'd make them do more damage. A big sword that doesn't hold up with the wizard DPS, let alone a rogue or warlock, the DPS classes. I think they need more damage.
C) I didn't have my mind made up, but I had leaned towards a Warlock. I have one in our guild that is pretty good, but didn't want to steal time from him playing it. A GWF would allow me to do more stuff with the group when our other wizard (His only toon) wanted to run dungeons. You also didn't have to answer either, that was your choice.

I have a GWF and I can tell you a few things. First, it is a fun class to play. It's the jack of all trades, it does everything well, but it doesn't specialize in say damage or tanking ability. It's a great class that helps compliment a group. It can tank better then the other DMG classes and has some good AOE attacks. Your GWF won't show it's true potential until his stats are capped and you're sporting a perfect vorpal. After that, He will out DPS most classes.

To clarify, I don't believe there could be any patch notes yet since there has been no update for notes to be released for. Futhermore I'm not sure even the Devs know what's getting through Certification yet (although maybe, depends how soon the update is hitting).
And I really don't think they are being "hush hush" per say - the posts by Scabman (sp?!) have been very forthcoming from what I've read. He's explained things like why ques for PVP and Dungeons don't focus on better matchmaking (re: they felt the que slowdown didn't justify what might not be any better of an experience) for example. And the only thing I've seen the Devs talk about fixing are things like the TTH, the kicking problem, and stability/performances fixes (of which were specifically mentioned to be rolling out with the Tiamat launch).
Nowhere have I seen anything about Devs talking about Class changes/fixes/balancing for Xbox. Nor do I think we will see Xbox specific changes unless something is broken on Xbox that wasn't on PC or was on PC but they already have a fix for. Anything else you hear is rumormongering or wishful thinking.

Instead we have high DR so when it is ignored it hurts the GWF more than say a CW.
