What drops artifact belts?

I have been killing the top dragon for 175 kills now... had a few drops but not many. No artifact belt?

Am i doing something wrong lol

    You're not doing anything wrong, you just haven't killed enough dragons :p.

    The drop is random so you could kill 5 dragons and get a drop or you could kill 1000 dragons and get a drop.

    You might even kill 2000 dragons and still not get a drop although there is a good chance you'd have gotten one before getting to that point.

    175 dragons aren't very many when it comes to the chance of getting a belt drop either way. You'd have a better chance and make more money by doing Epic Lair of Lostmauth than doing dragons as well so I'd advise doing that instead.

    Running ESoT and ELoL will get you an artifact belt on average quicker than dragons and even if not it's still faster to just farm them or T2's for drops to sell and just buy one than to farm dragons.

    Artifact belts are in the chest at the end of LoL, the non Epic version, as well. My CW's GS is 12.4 so I can't run the Epic but I got the Int Belt out of the chest at the end of regular LoL.

    Thats simply RNG. I got my cloak of black ice from farming Dragons, after 100 kills or maybe more.
    Didn't know i got one, until i saw it in my bag :-) Also you need to do Boneyard encounters. I heard there is a chance they drop artifacts belts also. New artifacts belts will also be available in The Temple of Tiamat Campaign Chest

    I received belts at the very, very beginning of the Well of Dragons dragon 'event'. After the first couple of hours the amount of people doing them just meant the rates dropped vastly. I did get a cloak once from the minor heroic events (Not the orange looking lines but the white ones).

    Also, when ESO came out, the amount of people on Neverwinter seemed to drop which allowed me to acquire draconic gloves and the Rod of Imperial Restraint from Rothé Valley. Ultimately, I think it's just down to the amount of people.

    Noob question: when people say "drop" in reference to getting gear from dragon kills, do they mean an actual "on the ground" drop or from the 'successful encounter' reward that you claim from top right corner of screen? I think it is NOT an "on the ground" drop but want to make sure so I don't miss something good :D

    Successful encounter menu. They don't drop on the ground.
