Salvaging Question

draven165draven165 Member Posts: 255 Arc User
What all goes in to the amount of AD you get from salvaging? What I mean is, I had 2 rings that were identical. I salvaged one 2 days ago and it returned 5,000 AD. Last night the same exact ring only returned 4,000 AD. Is there something that could change the amount of AD you receive from items? What would cause a difference in the value of an item?

Any thoughts?

They were not the exact same ring, there are different tiers of items. Different tiered items will always salvage for that same amount .

They were the exact same ring same tier as I am familiar with how the tier system works. Appreciate the thought as that was my initial thought as well but in this instance it wasnt the case. And I have found the "minor" versions generally salvage for 3,000 AD. Both were Grand Necromancer's Ring of Undeath.

So is there NOTHING that can/would cause salvage prices to change? Any events that change the salvage price? Maybe this was a fluke. Just wanted to make sure that no events or whatnot would change the salvage amount.

Double Astral Diamonds events will change the salvage amounts for the better, but as far as I know nothing else would.

Deduction therefore indicates that either a) it was not the same item b) you actually did get the same amount and were mistaken or c) you got a rare bug. If you honestly think it was a bug, submit a bug report.

Strange. Isn't all tier 1 rings 3000ad and all tier 2 rings 6000ad?
And i believe everything "Grand" is tier 2.

One was most likely a drake seal version which would be called "Minor Grand" if I'm not mistaken.

I think there is a discrepancy with some of the drake items. Because wouldn't the "ancient" versions of rings and necklaces be the T2 equivalent? The ones that only drop from CN?

Now this might be more in line with my mistake. I will check tonight when I get home as I just grabbed a couple things out of the bank to salvage real quick for fast AD. I could have grabbed the minor grand by mistake.

But this - "Strange. Isn't all tier 1 rings 3000ad and all tier 2 rings 6000ad?

Has me puzzled! I must look into this as I dont believe I have been getting 6000 AD from any T2 rings. Now I cant wait to get off work LOL

The Drake Seal versions go for 4000 AD if I'm not mistaken and they are generally considered by the player base as tier 1.5. I'm not 100% sure if it's 4000AD but I do know it salvages for less than t2 and more than t1.

    http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Salvage

Unicorn is t1 drake is t2. But I know that dungeon specific drops sometimes have different values

You probably already figured it out but I'm guessing one was grand and one was minor grand.
