Eye of Lathander

Why is this Artifact BoP and so hard to get in the same time? It almost feels like Devs want everybody to use the LoL set only, since rest have pretty bad bonuses and is often harder to get.

    I feel the same way. This is the one part of the Lathander set I still need, and must have run Dread ring dungeons hundreds upon hundreds of times and never got this artifact.

    It makes no sense why it is so hard to get or BOP compared to the other set artifacts.

    It's been like that since Eye was released. Always has been hard to obtain.

    Well, Lathander only has two eyes.;)


    I agree I have been wanting this for over a year and it hasn't dropped.

    Ages and ages ago during testing of the module where artifact sets were added I asked if the Eye was going to be changed to BoE same as the other artifacts from artifact sets but I never got a reply unfortunately , I got one myself by using around 150 of the Star metal gauntlets when they were first released but I'm guessing it is nearly impossible to do it that way nowadays so yeah it should be added to the DR campaign store or the drop should just be made BoE so anybody who gets it but doesn't want it can just sell it on.

    totally wrong , eye of lathander has always been bop even when it was on preview it was bop.

    ...every now and then, one pops out of a lockbox, IIRC. That then is BoE. And to be had in the AH.

    No, it can and does pop out of lockboxes and is bind on equip.

    what lockbox does it apparently come out of?

    Don't know off by heart.

    In some of the "Artifact provisions packs" you could - with the common NW-1%-chance for critical successes on loot roll tables - find an artifact instead of or on addition to the other stuff, and this could also be the Eye. I've ever now and then seen it on the AH - and the prices were already in the million range in Mod 2/3, when it wasn't yet a set component..

    You can now buy the GREATER Eye from the WoD store vender, so it is level 70 - to bad for the people that have the old one..

    I agree the drop rate is WAY to random - I played DR for 5 months (when it opened/started), nothing, and suddenly got 3 in the space of 1 month. One other toon has also picked up 1, the other 2 toons I have - Nada. Friend I play with has NEVER gotten one accross any of his toons, and he does DR EVERY DAY... I have to admire his persistence, but seriously, that is just wrong... As with so much of the game at this time.

    Might is not always right - the powerful sometimes forget that.

    I have run the daily instance pretty much every day since the mod came out, I have still yet to see it. Heck for the first 4-5 months I was running it on 2 characters. Now I just run it with my GF not because I want it, I just want to see it ever drop!

    I got one on my CW first after about 2 months, but really wanted it for my cleric who I was levelling up. On the 2nd day of having unlocked the Adamantine gauntlet for my DC - boom - got one ;)

    http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Lockboxes Care to point out which lockbox it drops from then. the rest of the lathander set can drop from lockboxes but not the artifact itself

    Er...no you can't. You can buy the Greater Cloak and Greater Belt but not the actual Eye of Lathander artifact itself. I just double checked by visiting the vendor in WoD. So my Lathander Set is still complete :)

    There is already topic about Eye of Lathander: again Eye of Lathander droprate

    As far as i know, Eye of Lathander is Dread Ring only exclusive artifact and has always been BoP.
    From Lockboxes you can get Lathander artifact GEAR (neck and belt but not artifact slot item!).
    And about Zen shop, Thayan Book of the Dead (Lockbox artifact) was purchasable for a limited time (6000zen), but never Eye of Lathander.
