Multiplayer (Group) General Questions

I just had a few questions - I've been playing Neverwinter since its release, but aside from queuing for PUGs, I've not actually played any multiplayer.

This past weekend, my friend decided to join me this past weekend after I demonstrated some of the game for him over drinks.

I get that I need to join the same instance and know how to create a party. My questions are as follows:

1) I assume you can join the PUG queue as a group, correct? So if I (as leader) join for example, 'Skirmish at Blacklake', he'll be automatically joining the game with me?

2) Once we finish a PUG (skirm or dungeon), how do we get out of the instance (to either queue up again, or continue adventuring)? When I'm alone, I just press 'Select' button, 'X' button, then the 'Leave Group' button and voila, I'm ready to jump into the queue again. How do we get out of the instance-generated PUG group to just go back to our personal team again? I tried it as the leader yesterday and ended up disbanding... :( We got back together quickly, but obviously, that's now how it's done.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you just leave the dungeon/skirmish without actually leaving the group, your team will stay together upon leaving. Unfortunately this will also bring any pugs that were with you so you'll probably end up having to leave the group anyway. Currently the only way to do it is to just leave the group and re-invite them to your party. After that you can repeat the process and get back to the grind.

There currently is no way to leave with only specific players. Upon leaving either you keep the whole pugged group or leave and start a new one.

Thank you very much for the help! That's exactly what I wanted to know.

Looks like we'll save the skirms and dungeons before we finish our game sessions to avoid having to reestablish the group repeatedly.

One easy way to make things go quicker if you're doing a lot of quick runs is to just invite everyone you want to group up with to a party. This way you can go to the party screen and invite the party to game so you can get all of your invites out with just a couple button presses. Doesn't save much time but with the terribly slow loading times on Xbox it's definitely the quickest option.

One of the strangest thing I see when my group and I enter/exit dungeons is that none of us are ever group leader. We often go in with a four-person pre-made group, but the game always makes the PUG the group leader for some reason. It happens every time, so I have to think this is by design. It would be so much easier to just remove the PUG after the run than have all of us leave and create a new group. Oh well...
