What's going on with epic dv? I've done it plenty of times but for the past couple of weeks it seems like no ones been able to do it? Mini bosses are glitched (I've spawned behind all of them before and it tells you to go thru the wall and kill them) and yshiggol fight is ridiculous wth the amount of adds and the terrible connection issues... Is it just me or what...?
The mini-bosses you're referring to are probably actual bosses - there are 3 total in the dungeon. If you die during those fights you have to run the entire way back from the previous campfire, which for the first two bosses is pretty much half of the dungeon. It typically takes 2-4 minutes to run back, and when you do you're able to reenter the fight without having to wait for your teammates or anything like that.
As for the last boss, it's pretty much common knowledge that the fight is impossible and you're almost force to cheese it. There's a certain strat where you stand in the far corner of the room where the tentacles can't reach you and you slowly ranged DPS the boss while you knock adds off the side of the arena, making sure everyone is on the tile/platform when the two singularity guys spawn (forget what they're called atm). There's really no other way to do it, at least not that I've attempted. The fight is downright impossible unless you cheese it, and even moreso in a PUG.
I know you have to run back if you die lol. For example tho there's a fire on the other side of the wall after you beat that first boss. A couple of times I've went in and I've spawned on that campfire, but it's saying to go back and kill the first boss, when there's no way to do so because the wall is there.
As far as the last boss I've done it before a couple of times where everyone killed adds then stacked him, but that's not possible anymore it seems like.

And after all that, the boss crystal never appears and you leave with nothing.

And of course this dungeon is exactly like this SINCE PC LAUNCH, almost 2 years ago. You may spend 2-3 hours to finish it and then you get NO CHEST and NO BOSS LOOT. Because lazyness and ignorance to the players is the moto in this game.
I'd hardly call using a strategy in defeating Yshiggol "cheesing it". There's no glitch involved, it's one of the few encounters in game that the simple "MOAR DEEPS, BURN IT" approach doesn't work.

The strategy I'm referring to involves abusing mob pathing and aggro mechanics; every time the two Thumes (??) spawn, if your entire party is on said platform/tile they'll immediately despawn and you can freely DPS the boss. Allowing them to pull your group around while you're that close to the edge of the arena is like begging to get thrown off, and if you're fighting two Thumes and a miniboss at once you're pretty much finished.
So yeah, forcing mobs to despawn so you don't have to fight them, or avoiding an intended encounter mechanic, is definitely considered cheesing.
I'm well aware of what you're referring to, I just don't see how attempting to avoid a mob that does despawn (assuming an intentional design) while dealing with every other mob that does spawn, the 2 mini bosses, and the boss itself is a cheese.
Getting mobs stuck in a wall/ceiling where they can't respawn and don't attack = cheese in my book (a cheese people have gotten rich off of).
Avoiding the 2 hulks or whatever they are called is no different than moving out of a red area IMO. You want to avoid that damage.
Is knocking off the knockoff-able adds in SP a cheese? I tend to think not.
Is surrounding the the High Priestess in ToS to keep her from teleporting a cheese? I tend to think not.
Is kiting the constantly spawning adds in FH and focusing on eliminating the archers so DPS can focus on Hrimnir a cheese? I tend to think not.
Is standing on the pedestal in LoL to avoid the melted gold a cheese? I tend to think not.
Maybe our definitions of cheese are different, but I don't see an exploit at work in the DV fight. The whole map points to that pedestal and the ranged DPS & take your time approach in avoiding the Hulks, Tentacles, and avoiding getting knock off yourself - even then the fight isn't exactly easy, wiping can still happen if you catch a bad break.
