We all know thorned roots does not take armor pen into the damage, and control bonus also doesn't work. Fixing this bug would make Trapper more competitive against other classes right now.
However there are bugs that needs to be looked at, and fixing some of these will make Archer a more viable tree.
Longshot: There are currently some range encounters that doesn't proc this feat. Skill such as Cordon of arrows, Split the sky (crits from split the sky also doesn't proc Lostmauth's vengence)
Encounters with charges: These charges are not effected by Swiftness of the Fox, Bottomless Quiver (which is suppose to reduce the cooldown by 30%), and not even recovery or INT to increase recharge speed. It's also the same for TR's impact shot and wicked reminder, but TR's new skill Blade Flurry is affected by recharge speed. Some explanation whether these encounter's recharge speed are WAI or not would be good.
Oak Skin: It's meant to defense, but this buff to defense doesn't show up on character sheet.
Feytouch and Fox cunning: Feytouch seems to give the fox cunning buff to enemies or something, as they sometimes take no damage, and on ACT, it's registered as dodge from mobs. This could be a feytouch bug by itself.
Have the gear and skills, but lack the friends to play with? Come and apply for Essence of Aggression. We have been here and strong since beta. (Immature, rude, and arrogant people will not be accepted)

-> lostmauth vengence gives U nothing when using rain of arrows, too.

YepAspect of the Serpent is totally gone. And it is the primary feat for Trappers which is a large percent of the HR server pop. How loud would the complaining be if EotS just suddenly stopped working?
Pathfinder action does not give correct deflect as well.
Wild medicine is not effected by max players HP from gear.
Wisdom is possibly not giving control strength at all.

Weapon enchantment damage is not really even calcualated right it seems
main hand is 1430. Pure pf should do ~71 damage. does 5-6 instead.
offhand is 850 - should be ~ 28. does 5-6 instead.

it seems that there is way more sht going with RI then just roots. It is quite possible they did fix the roots!
but some mobs - like evoker somethimes either not respect that or actually deflect it with 50% severity.

but they now are weird. At some point they do respect arm pen. At some don't. Had thing both 105% effectiveness and 50% effectiveness or less.
And here we see roots effected by Arm pen.
Simmilar picture is for WoD. Some mobs like evoker do 'deflect' damage. Some take it all

At first full damage. And then it gets to 'deflected' or bugged state. Not sure what is true here. It may be also effected by plague fire debuf at first.
ok so after more testing. Roots are still not effected by arm pen for brutes. - IWD mobs, some mobs in dread ring and wod. Some trash mobs however are 'better' now and take full roots damage. Bears in iwd don't care for roots ans still take 1/2 of damage.
Im not sure if it is a some sort of bug fix or 'live player testing'. But if this is 'new' behaviour - at least they are working on fixes.
I don't have it at any other level. And am certainly not re-speccing in the hopes that the problem gets fixed.

This explains why trappers suddenly do about 1/2 the DPS in pve that archery builds do. I have 3/4 legendary artifact gear, over 40% crit chance, about 15k power, over 60% resistance ignored plus transcendent plaguefire and I get out-DPSed by all-blue archers with normal enchantments. It would be nice if the devs would start to pay attention to classes besides CW, DC, OP and GWF.
