Companion Coins.

I have not seen any information on this so I wil ask here. I see the cost of improving a companion can either be paid by AD or companion coins and as of yet I have not see where or how to get companion coins. I found nothing on the wiki as it does not cover the xbox one real well. Any information would be great as to what is going on with those coins.

They are dropped from lockboxes that require enchanted keys to open. Depending on the companion I'd say the AD option is quite a bit cheaper either way.

I have open plenty of those silly chests ( using the money I saved in my gaming budget from quiting EQ and WOW) and have yet to see one, I still have a ton of companion chests to open at some point when i get around to it. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, they're pretty rare and you need a lot of them for some of the higher grade companions. When you add up what you've spent in the long run unless you're just ungodly lucky, it's cheaper, quicker and just easier to pay the 750k AD.

You don't have to pay real money to open the boxes. There is something in the game called Astral Diamond Exchange which allows you to purchase Zen from other uses with AD. On the other note, Companion kits are typically about 10kad, I've opened quite a few to use the runes to use as RP and so far have gotten 90 companion coins, all the meanwhile maintaining a fairly low usage of Ad considering some things out of the kits sell for a bit..
