This has been happening a lot where I queue for a dungeon only to get kicked from about 10 to 15 of the groups I get joined to because they are at the final boss and looking for a healer. I would like to see a system where if a group is looking for a healer (or whatever) they can specify that so I'm not wasting my time or theirs. Also being on the other end is no fun as well just kicking everyone that joins hoping you get a healer.
I personally don't need a healer in boss fights (but I will go through potions like a crack head) but there are many players that don't like dumping through 10-15 potions during boss fights or that need to tank with heals. There have literally been hours of game time lost every week because of this and it is really taking away from the fun of the game. It's like does you group have a healer for the last boss?? No? well now you get to play the looking group roll game for about an hour to see if you can get one.
Good idea. I actually think a queue request system would be better than a kick option. Instead of having a VTK system like we currently have, why not let people who queue up as an incomplete group check a couple of boxes for classes they want added to their group. Likewise, if someone quits a dungeon, the party leader can put out a request for a specific class or classes to fill the gaps. Singles just queue like normal and get slotted into groups where they're wanted. You could even add the ability to require a minimum GS to make the elitists happy. Something like this would go a long way to fixing the current kicking problem because the likelihood of someone getting slotted into a group where they're unwanted goes way down.
The current queue system just needs to be tweaked correctly. It can automatically set a filter, without player interaction, to fill specific classes from a priority list. IE if the group has no cleric it prioritizes finding one.
How ever, be careful what you wish for. With a system such as this you may spend hours sitting in the dungeon waiting for that class to actually queue. Especially in a small enough group to merge with yours. I main a Devote Cleric, but I am not solo queuing for dungeons
for the simple fact of not knowing whether any member of said group is capable of actually performing their class roles.
Instead of queuing for groups all the time, try forming groups via the chat system. I know it is a bit out of control at the moment with spam, but with a keyboard plugged in its not all that bad.

Also, there is less spam if you leave Protector's Enclave. So moving to a high-level exploration zone is another way to find a group while avoid spam.

When this game first launched on XB1 the queues were more thoughtful, always TRYING to compose groups with only a single tank and/or healer. Then they re-did the queue system because DPS were complaining about the long wait times for a group. If they added the feature so that people could specify what they were looking for they would be back in the same boat with long queue times for DPS.
The LFG search function in CoH was pretty great in that you could flag LFG without a que and put a comment in on what you were looking for specifically. It also allowed you to see what level and class players were when searching. There are certain times a tank and healer setup are easier, and I would venture near the endgame needed mostly when playing a PuG. It would be amazing if this game had similar team building abilities.

I know it's not a perfect suggestion but long queue times while I do other things are better than sitting in a dungeon for an hour playing roll the queue for a healer or tank or whatever. Also if this system was in place maybe more people would queue for up dungeons because they would have a better balanced group and they could replace someone that doesn't now a fight or isn't willing to learn (we are all noobs at some point teaching someone how to do a fight or how to better their class makes the game community as a whole better and gives you another person to play with).
Also they could put an average timer on how long you will probably wait in queue if you are a certain class. Sure it doesn't change anything but knowing how long of a wait I will probably have is nice even if it would be a while.
Also yes you can join a guild and only run dungeons with them but there are times when there aren't enough on (say 4 members that can run something) or maybe you want to play during off time when almost none of them are on.
Finally PUGs will always be PUGs and there will be good and bad groups but to have the odds stacked against you from the start because of poorly combined class combinations just thrown together in a group sucks.
