Somebody said that the exchange rate on the PC version climbed up to 500AD per Zen... My suggestion if you have a bunch of Zen is to hedge your bets and convert what you want to AD now to stockpile, and save the rest for Coalescent wards and keys for the gazillion lockboxes everyone has.
Huh....I thought Ballsdeep was a location in Lord of the Rings.

nope with double diamonds most people made a lot of rough AD so theres a lot of AD out there and many people are buying the new lock boxes and other things with zen so with more people are buying zen so the prices have gone up if the devs would increase the daily refinement limit for even a weekend we would probably see zen jump over 200 in a short time since zen has stayed around the 158-162 mark for a week.

Will they ever increase the daily refining limit? Have they done it on pc? And lol is the the price going to slowly decrease till another double AD?
Has anyone notice that the price of zen is slowly rising? I thought that after the double AD weekend the price would go down?
Zen is limited to what people pay real money for, whereas AD is an unlimited currency you can acquire through in-game activities, therefore the price of Zen will always trend up. The event you describe creates more AD not more Zen, therefore if anything it would cause the amount of AD per Zen to increase.
If you have Zen and want to buy Astral Diamonds - you want the exchange rate as high as possible; 500/1 is your best deal as it gets you the most AD per Zen Point. If you have AD and want to sell it for Zen then the opposite is true: you want a low exchange rate, say 50/1 as you get the most Zen for your AD.
Hence the OP and first reply are backward.
500/1 (AD/Zen) is the best deal for people selling Zen for AD. 50/1 is the best deal for people selling AD for Zen.
I have been here since Alpha/Beta - the best rate I ever recall for selling AD was about 270/1. But when too many people want Zen then the rate goes up. PC side has been pegging at 500/1 (with massive backlogs) since Mod 4, though it's finally starting to stabilize and fluctuate in the high 400's right now.
PROTIP: If you want to buy Zen - do it the moment a new module is announced. Rate climbs wildly when a new module launched as everyone wants Zen to my the new shinies in the Zen Market.
It will fluctuate up and down. They do quarterly Zen sales and other things that will cause it to spike down. However the long-term trend will be for it to increase. The same goes for the price of items on the Trade House. Items with static values will increase in price over time as more AD becomes available on the open market.
The exchange rate will trend upward over time. The value of AD goes down as more and more of it enters the economy. Farmed loot salvaging, gamble box item salvaging, invoking, rough AD generation/refinement, double diamond weekends, etc. all contribute to the economic inflation. Even if the amount of available Zen stays relatively constant, the price will climb as more people gain diamonds with which to buy it -- especially if more people buy Zen on the exchange. People will watch the pools of cheaper Zen dry up due to increased demand and start listing their Zen for higher prices. If people continue to pay the higher rates, the price will continue to climb. The rate of increase could be controlled if everyone joined together and refused to pay more than a certain value for Zen because demand at higher prices would go down and people with Zen would be forced to sell at lower prices, but it won't happen. Too many people want Zen now and won't wait, so we can count on the prices slowly climbing.
In the near future astral diamonds will be so abundant people will not need to sell Zen to acquire it as often.
On the PC Zen sells for 500/1 ratio yes, but this is partially due to astral diamond sellers flooding the market. And it is rare to see people selling Zen due to this. When 10 dollars gets you a million AD, trading Zen for it just isn't as worthwhile. Using these AD brokers is however a ban able offense on the PC. Hopefully, we never see them on Xbox.
So for now enjoy the market while you can. Chances are once we reach a surplus of AD on the game, and it will happen slowly, prices will sky rocket and Zen being sold will become more and more rare.

Double AD weekend is not a good thing.
It's an education in modern economics.
