The Rimefire Golem stinks

Why even bother making a Defender type companion without a hard taunt ?

As it stands the Wild Hunt Rider is still the best defender companion far and wide. Back to the drawing board.

    You know what stop complaining this is the 1st new CTA in a long time, and the rewards they give is a nice added bonus on top of that they gave everyone a double RP weekend. With all the bad things the game went through there is finally so very positive stuff happening in the game. stop complaining about the small stuff, if you don't like the companion then don't use it, I for one like the new companion.

    eh, it isn't bad. I like the fact it can have two belts. Stuff in two Striker belts, stuff rune slots with eldritch and woo, transferred bonuses galore.

    For 40k AD you can't really complain compared to the zen store prices (some of which have worse actives)

    However I'd say that it's quite outdated and the rank 1s and 2s should be replaced with a better ability to farm rank 5s.

    The Fistsmasher attack has something of a hard taunt. The moment he hits an opponent I loose the aggro with my CW.

    He does not hold mass-aggro like a GF or OP, but then the Wild Hunt Rider also doesn't. (If you are looking for something like this, try Guardian Angel or any other good healer. Those tend to draw enemies like crazy.)

    Also the Golem has a HP Bonus (which can in many cases be more helpful than the rare damage bonus of the Rider) and two belt slots (offering some variety).


    If you like the Hunt Rider more, then that is ok. Be happy that you already have the best for your character, instead of being forced to aquire something better all few months. Also be happy, that we get something new. They just could recycle one of the recurring old CTAs and be done with it...

    Yes, it's because whatever Cryptic does, players will complain. Even free new shiny items.

    If all of it's attacks proned then it'd be cool, but no, it sucks.
