Scaling us up to lvl 70 at the start of mod 6 was a nice thought but as we all know now it was useless w/o the lvl 70 gear.
BUT scaling us down in other areas is annoying and stupid. One great fun thing to do for a lot of people is replaying those lower levels that were such a pain after you level up and going back handing them their butts like they did to you before but if they are just going to level you back down when you go back, why bother? Another bit of fun Cryptic is stomping on. Wait, this game is SUPPOSED to be fun , right? LOL
Agreed, I use to have a lot of fun helping guildies level their new alt toons. Made for a nice break from dailies. Another thing is that the stat boost they gave us with the start of the new mod seems to decrease with every level you up so instead of getting stronger and better with each new level one feels like one just got hit by a 2by4 :P What's the point of leveling if you only get weaker? Are they trying to simulate old age in the game?

Are you seriously getting stomped by zombies in Neverdeath at level 70?
Your stats may be leveled down, but you still have access to all the higher powers, and you certainly have better gear than you did at lvl 25 or whatever, so I reeaallly doubt you are having problems playing in lower level zones.
Of all the things Cryptic needs to re-visit in Mod 6, this is not one of them.
