Quests don't follow up - Rothe Valley and Chasm

So this is the fourth (!!!) time I'm playing through the game and the first I have this issue.

First, in the Chasm, when I got to the camp where the astral projection of that mage guy (can't remeber the name), delivered the quest that had sent me there and there just wasn't a next quest. I had skipped a couple of quests in the Chasm, so I thought I could have had something related to that.

I couldn't be bothered to go back and scan for all skipped quests, so I went back to Protectors and Knox gave me the quest for Rothe Valley.

There, I decided not to skip ANY quest and got up to Mayor Gunderson. Again, I delivered the quest which had led me to him, and no quest followed. My journal is just plain empty, as it was in the Chasm.

I suppose I could level up using other alternatives till I get qualified for the next map, but this is plainly annoying. Can someone help me somehow?

    Same issue with quests not showing up in the Chasm even though I show the quest before Sgt Knox sends you there completed, "Let the Mithral Flow" since this post is back in July 2014, I'm not holding out much hope there is a way to get this resolved, bummer cause it's affecting a couple achievements on the Xbox 1. Need to advance in the Chasm to find the scrying stone and just the general complete the quests there.
