How am I supposed to get 1600 item rating. Lev 70 blue gear from 3 man dungeons doesn't give you 1600 rating. To get better gear that would increase my rating i need seals of elements that drop from dungeons of 1600 rating. So how then, refine enchantments or what ?
Do the daily pvp quest and get the lvl70 pvp set with rank 5-6 enchants it should place you exactly at 1600 rating (assuming you got mh and OH art weapons)
You definitely can get that fairly easy. My Warlock has over 1600, and I'm only wearing level 70 blues, 5-6 enchantments and the artifact off-hand and weapon you get from hitting 70 and finishing Spinward Rise. Have you got both artifacts?

It's the easiest way and trust me you can win some games even if you keep suicing right after you spawn, though it may take some time. On avarage you should get carried at least once per 10 matches.

I'm not necessarily interested in "easy". Or PvP.
In 25+ years of playing *real* AD&D, never once did I experience any PvP. I'm not going to start now.
Blue gear, all the artifact slots filled, at least the starter underwear from drowned shores and MH/OH artifact weapon, along with R5's should be enough to get into T1 dungeon.
The major problem is that for pure pve player, there is no armor with chest enhancement slot besides the Eternal gear set from ToD store. This poses a massive problem for a very fresh player or OP's who haven't been around in mod 5 for the dragon fangs. If you have the fangs, then I would recommend picking up that set. It will be a starter set that is decent enough to do T1's.
Ya, lets not encourage people to play pvp as a means to pve ends. That doesn't end well for anyone.

Get your MH, get both MH and OH to blue.
Get 4 artifacts to blue (or as many as you have easy access to: as an altoholic I can get free artifacts from every class but OP right now, plus the one you get from questing).
Either buy some rank 6 enchants or upgrade your rank 5s (which should be dropping for you) to rank 6. Check the AH: rank 6s are probably very cheap. and may be cheaper than the rare Mark of Potency you need to upgrade from 5 to 6.
I don't know what y'all are talking about. I've got a 1500 IS, and all I have a bunch of the new gear, level 5 enchantments, and 2 blue artifacts.....
The reputation system got nerfed to prevent "power creep"; it's called an investment in time and money, and I think I should get a little something for my time and money like being able to stomp the HAMSTER out of a new guy since I've been playing for three years now!

It is a tool to help in aquiring gear. They can give you a hammer and some nails to build a house, but if you refuse to pick up the hammer.. it is not the fault of the designer that house is not getting built.

Oh jeez.. more metaphors?
It is a tool, yeah, but I'd rather use my framing hammer, thanks. Or, maybe this nailgun.

Except they are giving you a hammer (PVP to get PVP gear) when you need a screwdriver (PVE gear to do PVE content)
And wow, yes, it CAN be the designer's fault sometimes when the house isn't getting built. It's great that you were able to use the hammer to pound in screws and all... But that may not be ideal for others.

I know some folks don't like PVP....
But it is the easiest way to upgrade armor for me
I got the Complete set of "Burning" armor for my GF and it put me at about 2400
Some old Linos for a new cape and I think I am over 2500
I can't look at my guy couse my computer is in the shop for the next 14 days and this old warhorse can't run Neverwinter

You have 4 artifacts slots. Make a couple of alts if you can't buy or loot newer ones? Yeah I know, it sucks to have to make alts just to enter T1s. Maybe the devs will make some iLevel 1200 dungeons without changing the current 1600 ones. At least, I hope so.

You misunderstand, diogene0. I was saying it's not difficult to get the IS up to where it needs to be without spending real-world money.
The things that really frosts my flakes is that I had to replace an ultra-rare (purple) set of PVP gear for the uncommon and rare (green and blue) equipment that's dropping now as loot to do it. I spent all that time in PVP to get that gear only to have it totally outclassed but the HAMSTER a Thayan grunt now drops.

That's the nature of level increases: top level greens are better than old top-level epics.
If you've played MMOs that increased level caps, you should have seen this before; it's not specific to NW.

Oh, and purple underwear.
I've got all Rank 6-8 enchants, lesser vorpal and lesser soulforged.
So, quite a few AD (and refining points) were spent. For 1910 Item Level.
Newsflash: not everyone wants to do PvP.
