Any input on tested builds? I'm at level 30 and undecided on going Devotion or Protection.

If you want to deal damage and be tanky go protection, the Temp hp from templars wrath is huge and binding oath can do some mad damage. if you want to just hold mid and spam heals go devotion, healing font is crazy with your bond encounter
People are way too negative, Why cant we just all get along.

Note going tank is harder to start with, but once you gear up the tank option is plenty tough. I haven't shared my build (though PvE focussed) because I haven't quite settled on the exact allocation of feats, but I'm getting closer to this, there are just a couple of options I need to exam some more. Stupid need to test on live.
    Obsidian Moonlight - Paladin
    Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.

They need to first fix CW ignoring our CC immunity.

I'm finding Prot pally crazy good, Then again I'm pretty over-geared for my level. 35 so far, One Templar + BL combo clears basically any pack.

At low lvl pvp any paly is insanely good. At lvl 50+ pvp tank paladin is better though. As you don't have to spend half the time healing yourself rather than actually contributing to the fight.

For lv70 i have toggle between protection and devotion and found devotion way too effective on PvE compared to protection.

My bad, yes protection path is god for pvp.

Divine Protector (Protection)|:Personal, 150' Burst For 5 seconds you shield all your allies from harm. You redirect 100% of the damage they would take to yourself. All damage you would take while this effect is active is reduced by 80%. If you find your party is tanking to much dmg use this and Combine it with Binding Oath it last up to 15 seconds and can ease up the pain if some one pulled something they should not have pulled not much to say about it other then its another amazing Utility Daily that can help make life easier.

Quote from Voltomey Paladin Review, i think this is really good for protection paladins.

Yes it can turn team fight around if our CC immunity does work as intende. Main strenght of Paladin is that he can contribute to fight even if undergeared due to bane, binding oath, cleansing touch and Divine Protector and his aura/passives.

Btw 2.7k Ilvl paladin? Nice :D what gear are you using? can I see a screenshot? are you decked out with high rank enchants / mythics? my 65 GWF is only 2.4k atm but I'm only running 1 leg arti + 2 epic, the 65 pvp set, artifact gear, and rank 8's

I'm a devotion paladin, 80% on justice feats and 20% on light feats, pretty easy to figure them out.
Somehow I would last longer on PvE, but generally for PVP protection paladins will pretty much rule the battlefield I guess.

X3 Perfect bonding stones gives 560 power each on an augment companion, I could probably go higher by another 1-2k but I would require some diamonds for it. The rest is just added by enchantments and equipment.

Did some PvP last night, Cleansing touch can be cast while you are being held by CC. If you point away from everyone on your team and cast, it cleanses the CC on you.

Went 15-0-10 and even at 1 point was 4 v. me and I still didn't die. Pretty fun actually :-D

I see. I'm toying arround active companions instead of an augment one.

For tanking in PvE i found my legendary angel of protection pretty amazing (with bounding stones). Yes he dies, but he also rez alone pretty often.. so no big deal.

For solo/questing im thorn between my lepre (his cc is good) and my wisp (good aoe).

Interesting. My Protection Pally is L64 and I never take any actual HP damage so I figured the heals from Devotion would be wasted for solo content. I can see where Devotion would be great in a party though and plan to create one later.
