Congratulations and welcome to our world. :)

I'd like to make 1 simple suggestion as we move forward. Those of us who have been here a while are aware of where to go find information when the game/gateway/foundry go down. However, many new people do not. Please make it a priority to build a few information pages you can redirect us to quickly when there is a problem with a specific service.

For example, we all know Thursday mornings are PCNW updates, so seeing this on the gateway is not unusual.

Instead, it would only take a few minutes to redirect people to an information page that explains why they cannot reach the page, or service they are looking for. Include on this page a few links to where players can find more information regarding the service/problem.

Start a thread explaining that there is a problem, doesn't require a timeline, but it can be used to update us.

This will allow you to avoid a LOT of player frustration and many many threads saying "
Neverwinter Gateway down?" or likewise.

Keeping us informed of things, and making it easy for new users should be a top priority as we move forward.

cheers
Ellodrith

ps. We who run multiple alts/characters find the use of the gateway essential.

That's why http://gatewaysitedown.playneverwinter.com exists. Of course it's currently not working due to the refusal of upgrading the SSL policies on the gateway, but it's usually there to inform you that it's down for maintenance.

Thanks, I realize that, but its exactly what I mean. We need to make sure these simple things work, all the time, rather than not in the last how many months.

Similar to the failures in this forum system, when we really get talking, these things should work all the time is what I guess I was trying to get at.

    cheers
