No shards available since...basically launch

Havent been able to play this game for nearly 7 days straight, would like a full refund on the downloadable content i spent money on thanks, im past the point of wanting an explanation onto why i can't connect but my buddy who lives next door can. And on a smaller note, is it beyond logic to offer something ( a race reroll token) but not have it working as intended? Just take down downloadable content until you can fix simple things like server issues imo.

    I have been able to play fine for the most part since launch. But today, as in right now, I can not login. It keeps telling me there are no shards available. Well then perfect world or cryptic, honestly I don't care, needs to add some more shards or servers or whatever will fix this issue. I mean this poor guy hasn't played yet and I'm jonesing for some play time. I work all day and all I want to do is play for the few hours I can.

    Don't know if you saw the thread explaining a workaround for this.

    Apparently if you login to the Game Screen then switch user, sign out, then sign back in it'll connect properly for you.

    Give it a shot.

    Press Y on the screen with Play greyed out. Then sign out and back in.

    You are not the same person. You do not have the same network configuration.

    Severs are down for the next 2 hours or so according to in-game annocments.

    Then how are my friends still playing online i can see them:( i just had a pet coupon and was about to use it too, that blows

    They're not. The game does not have what's known as 'rich presence' (details on what they're doing in game), it always says 'Adventuring on the Sword Coast'. They're most certainly on the main menu like the rest of us right now.
