Bound items

I just ran The Temple of the Spider and picked up a Shadow Weaver's Tunic. However, when i went to put in on the AH, I can't because it's bound to me.

How is it bound to me if I never equipped it? This obviously isn't the case for everyone because there are already some on the AH.. soooo, what's the deal? I'm only running in the hope to make some astral diamonds, seems pointless if i can't sell them.

    Sometimes there are some that are bind on pickup

    But if that's the case for this particular item, how are there some on the AH? It just doesn't make sense.

    If it comes from the chest, its normally bound. If its boss dropped its normally unbound.

    As far as I'm aware, it 'only' comes from chest. So i'm still not understanding why mine is bound, and others aren't. I just got the Shadow Weaver Cap from another dungeon chest, and that is also bound before I equip it, yet I'm looking at one on the auction house that someone else has put up.

    Can someone shed some light on this please?

    I'm trying to expand your awareness. Those drops do NOT only come from the chest. They can be boss drops as well. Boss drops are generally unbound. Those are the ones you see on the AH.

    Ok, well thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
    I assume it's a rare drop then? I've done probably about a hundred dungeons by now and I don't remember seeing a single set item drop from a boss. (Maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention).

    Also, if chest items are Bind on Pickup, and boss items are Bind on Equip, is there any real point to farming T2 dungeons? I would have thought that would be the whole point, farm items and sell them? Move onto the next things (when they are released), and continue to do the same. Now it's seeming like everything is merely salvage only apart from an occasional random drop from a boss, if you're even lucky enough to win the roll? Very disappointing if that's the case.

    Any set pieces that drop from a chest are bind on pickup. Any drops from the bosses are bind on equip.And set pieces do drop from bosses, since I got a T2 Master Assassin's Armor drop from a boss, and sold it on the AH. Theses are rare... therefore very expensive in AH.

    Its to stop people breaking the market by farming all the stuff they can and putting them up a stupidly low prices, what would be the point in playing if everyone could just by T2 stuff for a few thousand AD. Annoying yes I know having run into the issue myself, but i can understand the reason behind it.
