tyranny of the paladins at pvp

well m5 was tyranny of the tr`s now at m6 we can change it to :"tyranny of the paladins" at pvp.
if you thought tr`s were op at m5? if you thought gwf`s were op at m2+3? well now paladins by far exceeded that in any possible way at pvp now i would call them immortals

every pvp match now on every party at least half of the team mates are paladins seems like all trs now went for the new broken class the paladins.

i said it b4 and i say it again if u need to use broken class, powers, feats, encounters, armor and weapon enchantments, to win my conclusion is one:
you have no skill what so ever in pvp.

    This is an unfair statement and only highlights whatever disappointment/disillusion/anger/rage you have. I am sure most feel the same way I do: I play a Paladin because I want to play a Paladin. Whatever OP-ness or "brokenness" is involved has nothing to do with my choice and is 100% out of my control. Even when they nerf the helloutofit I will still play my chosen class.

    So redirect your rage to the direction it needs to go: to the Devs for fixing whatever needs fixing to alleviate your complaint about it. If it needs fixing it will get fixed. Otherwise: "you have no skill whatsoever (it's one word) in PvP."

    My major problem with them is the damage capability with dailies and set bonuses and skmething way too much broken to mention in forum that seems to proc off dots..
    A tanky class being tanky alone is not a problem.

    There are a max of 2 paladins in any match at lvl 70. Even in GG my paladin is usually the only one. So Idk what you're talking about. Seriously. Unless, ofc, you're talking about low lvl pvp. Which has happened tons of times before. When a new class comes a lot of people at least start one to try it out. And that's where the influx of low lvl paladins comes.

    Thus, your thread is pointless.

    What damage capability? The one daily they have? TRs and CWs can kill anyone in one rotation as well as 1 shot with their dailies. Paladin's only got 1 damage daily with lots of drawbacks.

    I cant 1 shot anybody with my TR daily power. It deals ~20-36k dmg (yes SE)

    Yesterday I was hit for 66k with SE. So idk, get better gear?

    Being "one-shot" by a TR depends completely upon whether or not it is a critical hit.

    Indeed you have no skill at all.
    One simple way to avoid the one-shot skill paladin ( and by the way our only real damaging skill >_>) don't remain alone in front of the pally, because the daily dmg splits.

    The most important thing fighting Paladin: DON'T FIGHT HIM IN GROUPS IN 30 RANGE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE LITTLE DR AND DON'T THROW YOUR ROTATION ON BINDING OATH
    Kill him by range classes, maintaining 30+ distance, rooting him by icy rays, HR roots or leave one player with high DR (preferably GF) to fight him and move on. Paladin can't replenish enough his temp hp if he can't hit multiply squishy targets in 30 range and 1vs1 against high DR player or range class which can kite and know where 30 distance is (gap closer and all damaging encounters range), he will die easily. There will be nerfs as some skills are too much for PvP and PVP only (Divine Protector daily, binding oath, Divine Judgement) but seriously guys I kill paladins on daily basis and it's nothing hard if you don't try zerging him. As I play Paladin also, on 70 if squishy team attacks me together and all are in 30 range (I still don't understand why so many range classes players don't use range to their advantage and just fight next to me) from me I can engage them indefinitely and maybe they will even kill themselves by binding oath or divine call reflect but if they just ignore me and leave only one player or maintain 30+ range or CC lock me I am dead. Paladin can't hold players, he doesn't have CC to do it, it's people own choice to waste time fighting Pal in group making him a favor as he is most effective against many players sticking in 30 range from him.

    TR's, don't parade in 30 range of Pal if you don't know how templar's wrath and burning light animation looks or have problems with dodging, he will use them. Range TRs or dodge in, smoke bomb, dps, dodge out, stealth tactic are a nightmare for Paladin and I personally don't have counter against them, I can only stall for time and I will die eventually. Yeah I kill tons of TRs lately but every one of them, don't dodge burning light and is constantly in 30 range, that's asking for being killed.

    Paladin is the best counter against mindless zerg PvP. In one GG whole enemy team was going to my direction so I activated binding oath (everybody saw it, as Paladin turns whole blueish for a second and rays goings inside him) thinking that maybe I will stall one or two clueless players for 6 seconds as I would be dead anyway. Whole 10 people started using dailies against me, unleashing whole rotations, several ice knifes and disintegrate for 100k+, of course using DC AP exploit to their heart's content, then binding oath ended, I've died instantly and near me 5 enemy players too from 10% (20% of 50% done) reflect damage done to me. If you see Pal going binding oath leave him be or leave one player against him or wait until it ends before focusing him.

    As for judgement, yeah, it needs nerf but only because it breaks lvling to 60 and early dungeons. It's 40 range telegraphed daily, dividing equally damage by number of targets in area. Ice knife or Shocking Execution are much more of a threat and people don't complain about them so much anymore. I don't know, maybe some people didn't adapt yet to it's sound and animation but as I PvP a lot lately I must say it's really hard to hit without help from other class CC. Paladin has only 5 damaging encounters (burning light, templars wrath, smite, divine touch, avenger), none have high damage (maybe burning light charged for 3 seconds but again, if you can't dodge, interrupt 3 second charge skill of 30 range then you are really bad), so this daily is pretty much only thing that Paladin can kill you fast with. It's another Hammer of Fate problem thanks to lazy design.

    You know, that works the other way too, with "get more hp". Personally i wish they reworked TR and made it less stealth depended. (like too much dmg comes from stealth, while out of it you're like companion. At least in mod 5 TR could dazzle while out of stealth but in mod 6 they reduced the duration by half which makes useless again.

    Imo stealth should be more of a scouting / escape tool rather than dmg booster.

    Depends on your build/feats. It is not automatic.

    Although it would not be wise NOT to take that feat . . . :)

    I agree paladins have some very, very high survivability. I have seen some facetank 4 of my team on dom and I was wondering why we wasn't getting many caps lol.

    But yeah players will play the class they enjoy and it's not the playes fault if the class might be better than another.


    I have been playing a gf since the start and it will always be my only character and when gf's got a buff many people was ragin at me and calling me a "nub" for playing an "op class". Like it was my choice lol.

    Well this is not entirely correct Shadow, if for any reason you have to use repel or it is on cooldown, you cannot keep a Paly using relentless of you, the instant you repel they will relent back to you, and then they can simply Rad to you, and at that point its just rinse and repeat the instance you try to cast anything Templar will go off or force you to shift, while Rad keeps purifying flames on you, and resets Relentless from echo proc's, or coming of cooldown on a 8-7 sec turn.
    I have had that tactic used me a ton at 70, only works ok if repel is available to you at engagement, and you are already out of Rad range.

    now if on the 23rd if they implement the Paladin review they released on launch day, that wont work anymore either as it will provide 30% runspeed, and smite will be ranged.

    yea because paladins have so much dmg that killing stuff for quests doesnt take some 2~4 times longer than for other classes

    i have seen paladins do great damage with a lostmauth set.
    and still a good geared paladin can have a daily every 20 seconds and that one is definitely damaging. Probably the most damaging aoe daily in game

    Thanks for the laugh.
    The moment it becomes an aoe ( the daily) it deals **** dmg. It's only broken 1vs1.

    it might be a damaging single target daily, the aoe dmg is ****, my gwf does much more dmg with crit ibs, and its not exactly paladins doing a great damage, go try and kill a giant or a golem on pala, ull see

    So, if I understand the OP, everyone who goes into PvP as anything other than an SW (insert here argument for any other class being lamest of all) is completely lacking in skill and virtually an exploiter who should be banned from the game.

    Well considering Paly's are 35% damage short of what they should have, yes it takes a bit longet to kill mobs than other classes, but then while other classes are complaining and looking for Cloud Giants groups they are soloing them 3 or 4 at a time.
