Try the new Paladin or GF,
I do Not recommend Gwf for new players or starting by zero, You need High-Endgear + High enchantments R9-10+
to have a chance to survive, otherwise you will have a hard live.

Only play Guardian Fighter if you want to deal with yet another rework soon. Been playing them since late 2013 and they're still broken...

    1. GWF is good class to start, especially if you want to explore NW campaign. Class is agile and fun. In later game, without gear your contribution to team is small, it was always like that with GWF. You still go through content and campaigns faster than GF. Easiness of learning doesn't mean its best performance comes with no effort.
    2. GF - many choices of your combat, not so complicated play but there is a problem. The class had many issues with survival, damage and aggro management in past. Wrong design decisions (buffs) followed by wrongly addressed fixes (nerfs).
    3. OP has a lot of support healing/defense skills. It feels like GF on steroids and has strong self-heal. But offers limited game play choices for solo - combat skills remains same, once you get them at low/mid levels. Some players may like it, some not.

    GWF looks fun
Drakeos Lightblade - Human - Oathbound Paladin (Protection) (MAIN)
Drakeos Shadowbow - 60 Combat Pathfinder Hunter Ranger (Alt/retired)
Falados - Drow (Mez) Level 60 Trickster Rogue - Offically retired
Drakeos - Drow (Mez) Scourge Warlock/Druid (retired)

GWF is a glass cannon, basically rogue-like character with high damage and low survivability.
OP is tank OR healer, mostly needed as tank in pve.
GF is a lesser tank, pretty much replaced by OP.
