Help! What the heck is Metallic Ancestery vs regular Dragon born??

    They are chromatic dragonborns and metallic dragonborns (silver, platinum, gold). These are the two different types of dragonborns, with different racial features.

    dont forget the gem dragons ( diamond, zaphire, emerald dragons, etc) they are still a part of D&D lore

    chromatic dragons wer ethe evil ones, metallic dragons were the good ones and the gem dragons are neutrals

    But in technical terms for the game, it's just a different set of looks for the dragonborn.

    The Dragonborn pack gives you a lot more than just the ability to play the dragonborn race. It also comes with many account-wise goodies such as a bag with the largest holding capacity in game, an epic artifact, accessories that deal more damage to dragons, dragonhoard enchantments.

    The Metallic Ancestry thing just gives you the abilities to play the metallic dragonborn race but it does not come with anything else at all. In other words, it is a cosmetic riff-off comparing to the Dragonborn pack. I have yet to see metallic dragonborn character in game. Same as the Sgt. Knox limited edition companions.
