Queue System - Addon

Hi everyone

I created this thread to ask all of you if this kind of Queue system could work in NW. And if not, what kind of system would you like to see?

I always wanted to see a more flexible and transparent queue system, then the one we have. One that would be faster and more graphic at the same time. A queue system that would show you clearly how many players and which classes are waiting in a queue ready to go delving.

I've made a rough example of how the menu could look like. I know it's far from perfect but still, i think it would improve our queuing experience.

We all know how long it takes for queue to pop up. Sometimes it takes well over 20 minutes of waiting before you are ready to go in a dungeon or a skirmish. That's why people mostly go in queue and do dailies and quests while they wait....and when queue finally pops up people often decline, because they are in the middle of a quest or dragon fight or whatever...and everyone is put back in queue again, so they can wait some more. I've talked with a lot of people who have trouble getting into a dungeon or skirmish using the queue system. The ones that suffer most are new players that are not yet doing guild runs or making custom parties in LFG channel.

That is why i'm suggesting this kind of queue system, to make queuing experience easier, faster and more fun for everyone. And at the same time leaving LFG system as it is, for all of those who like doing customized runs only.

I've written down all the major descriptions on the picture i posted below, so i would not have to repeat myself here.

I would just like to add this:

- There would be multiple instances of each Dungeon available in the queue menu. (I've only shown one of each in my example). How many instances will there be? That depends on the servers. Crypitc can assign the maximum number of instances that can be active. (Lets say approx. 100 instances of each dungeon for now. And 100 instances of skirmish).

- You'll would be able to click on the dungeon name tab and arrange all dungeons by name. (and you would see...58 instances of Malabog castle, 82 instances of Gray wolf...etc) Giving you a good overall view of how many people are in queue and where they are queued and what classes are needed in what party.

- You would pick the dungeon you want and press join button. That will put you in queue for that dungeon. When all 5 party members have joined that dungeon...the dungeon automatically starts and the instance disappears from the queue menu list. A new empty instance of that dungeon replaces it so a new group can start forming.

- Each player will be able to join 3 queues at once. Either 3 same dungeons (3x MC) or 3 different ones (MC, VT, TOS).

If anyone has any further ideas on how to improve the queue system, please share it. Thank you.

I think a lobby system would work best.

1- Leader creates a queue selecting dungeon/skirmish/difficulty, privacy setting: Public or private.

2- People searching for dungeon/difficulty joins public lobbies while Leader can invite to private.

3- 3 people vote kick is enforce until everyone is ok with party.

4- 4/5 or 3/4 or 2/3 or 1/1, check ready, 15 seconds countdown starts and the dungeon is entered at the end and vote kick is disabled.

5- If someone get dcd or leaves, someone searching for that type of public lobby can join mid dgn/skirm, if no lobby are available or all are full.

I like the layout. I would also add a checkbox for ur role (Healer/Support, DPS, Controller and Tank) filtered by class, like GF = DPS or Tank, CW = Controller or DPS, DC = DPS or Healer, OBP = Healer or Tank, etc.

looks better than joining and get kicked each time because it`s not the right class.
