LvL35 Deflect Tanks one shoting people in PvP working as intended?

Srsly..

I know that this is nothing new for the lvl 60 area pvp, but I thought that at level 30ish it would not be possible because of the gear not being available until much later.

Last night friends and I are in the 30-39 bracket and I roll up on a tank I go into choke rotation as a rogue gets him to near death and "BAM!" I am dead and my friend says he just went to full health.

Is this normal as I have a deflect tank going right now and he still cannot do this at 40's. The gear is not there for it or am I missing something?

I think you're missing something. Deflection only mitigates a portion of damage received; it doesn't reflect that damage back on the attacker. More than likely your friend got one-shotted and the tank got healed.

What Class are you referring to as a Tank? GF Tank, GWF Tank, DC/AC Tank or the new class Oathbound Paladin Protection Paragon Path Tank? I have 7 lvl60's of the available classes from Modules 1-5 all of them 100% designed, Made and Played 100% PvP lvl10-60 Primary Focus on Defense Secondary Focus on Offense. I also have a new #8th Character Dragonborn/Oathbound Paladin at level 36 atm, specialized in (Oath of Protection) Paragon Path at level 30. Now at level 36 and equipped with all minimum level 35-36 Blue/Purple gear/items all slotted with all Rank 6 & 7 Silvery Enchantments. I can easily CAP & Hold any CAP Base I choose to against all enemy team in a 1v5 almost unlimited time through the entire PvP 5v5 Dom Match. This is a combination of all my characters Race/Ability/Score Role +2CON, +2DEX at creation with all points at lvl10 & level 20 into CON+DEX plus the full +1 to all abilities auto-granted at level 30. Plus my Skills Powers/Heroics Feats/Paragon Feats Points Distribution and Gear/Item/Enchantment Types ((CHOICES)) plus my almost 2 years now experience playing D&DNO since day #1 of closed beta tests to present day, including my total 15 years experience playing fantasy fiction mmorpg type games as a PvE/PvP Team Support Buffer/Healer/Tank Role Primary Focus.

This is on the xbox forums so how in the "blank" could it be an Oathbound Paladin?

Maybe you should follow your own advice..

I wouldn't pay attention to that guy, his entire post seemed to be 90% self-promotion (still not entirely sure what he's promoting) and 10% irrelevant information.

Still, deflection doesn't have much to do with it unless there's a feat or ability that reflects damage based on deflect chance/severity that I'm unaware of.

Are you talking about the daily for a guardian that saved damage over a short time and reflects it back at an attacker? I forget the name. I haven't played much with it, but seems fine. It is a daily and they have to time it right.

I'd imagine the rehealth was just a potion or a cleric.

PC did have an issue with GF's where they would go from 20% health back to max. Never could figure out if it was a bug or bad design, but it did make running up against a GF rather frustrating. As if stun chaining wasn't already their problem.

Of course, as I generally play GWF's, I've never been one-shot by a GF. They can work into some serious numbers for very short bursts, but it's rare, especially in the early game.

If you're dealing with a GWF, on the other hand, we don't have a single tool that really delivers that 'one-shot' potential. Sentinel capstone combined with restoring strike can give us a huge piece of health back (not to mention unstoppable and a temp HP boost if you take the relevant feats), but i've never seen it hit full health.

Lastly, due to poor coding on the devs part which put health management client side, it's entirely possible the immunity hack has made it's way to Xbox, though I doubt it. Still, possible.

This sounds exactly like what happened. There was no cleric on his team.
I have not seen many do this. Only one or two. I know there are great players out there, but this went beyond skill/build as I have friends that have played since beta PC and they even said something wasn't right. The gear to do what he is doing is not around at 32 and that is what he was!

I once caught and reported a rogue from a rather infamous guild who, during the middle of a fight, went damage immune and instantly regen'd what health he had already lost. It was so obvious it wasn't even funny. I think he was using unauthorized programs, personally.

I have witnessed the instant regen from GF's more than once, though, and feel that it's probably more likely attributed from a bug, or at the very least, his health reporting in error to my client (which would be another form of bug, obviously). It would not surprise me in the least if this persisted to Xbox.

Maybe it was feated ferotius reaction procing 2 times on your dot. Thats class feature, im not certain that it can be used on that lvl. Its activating every 3 mins when low hp and deals dmg and heals gf. Theres a bug with double procing.

GWFs can have it, and it works the same, you just need to be Iron Vangard. Remember is only every 3 mins.

Probably just had that heal daily on and you got bursted with knights challenge [makes you take double damage from him while daily heals him for a large portion]. I could easily 2 shot people with both dash attacks and knights chchallenge and bad gear.
