Your thoughts please on which healer companion is the best. Should I look to upgrade the healer I started the game with at 300,000 astrals or buy another type of healer?
Anyway, cant really buy anything when auction house is screwed. Jeez, a database such as neverwinters auction house should be straight forward enough...
A bit of an over simplistic answer, and the list is kind of useless to the OP as all the Leader (healer) classes listed in the link are either random drops, limited promotions, event items or pack purchases and it sounds as if the OP would rather get this 'in-game'.
My version of the answer is this - if you REALLY want to spend the AD, buy another Leader companion as the Apprentice Healer is not only fairly useless at practically anything else, but his dialogue gets REALLY annoying. Problem is, this early in the console game lifecycle, there's not going to be an awful lot of choice because hardly anyone will be selling the decent ones, and the actual companion which suits you best depends on whether you play as a melee or ranged class.
If you honestly wanted to spend no money at all I suggest Angel of Protection (although it'll take a YEAR to get one at 1 Ardent Coin per day!!!), or perhaps go for an Augment instead (a few of which reduce the damage you take in the first place rather than healing you, although the Ioun Dragon Stone does both).
Either way, you're looking at a lot of AD to buy in game, so you're probably better off converting that to Zen and buying a pack.
