so far ive seen hrs struggle a lot more than other classes. gwf is finally in a good place so is gf and tr and cw. hr didnt get any real buffs well at least not trapper which is still best. everyone else besides sw is blowing through content and hr and sw seem to be left behind. ill always stick by my main through thick and through thin. but i would really like to become useful. as of right now im pretty sure hrs wont be running dungeons. cw's and dc's will deffinetly be.
edit: btw the other classes are killing things very well. that or they also have defenses to back them up. hr seems squishy and damage seems fairly bad. hr even seems to be struggling in pvp.

Don't know about other but i am doing fine as a trapper
in pvp i can't tell because i am not yet near bis
new dungon in mod 6 is not just about tank and paingiver and HR trapper will have good rolenin party as permaroot and dodge buff since we got harder content
Do you have the slots and play all the classes? If not then you have nothing to base your comparison findings on.
I do (multiples of each class, actually) and I haven't even had the time to compare them all to each other yet. Hence, I think the OP should be taken with a heavy grain of salt. Certainly it maybe true to the OP in terms of the difficulty being face, but how it compares to other classes is another matter altogether.
The fact is all classes are struggling heavily, not just the HR.

actually i have 3 hrs and 1 of every other class at 60 and above and some extra. thanks. and i have tried all of them. ive had the time to get my hr to 70 and other classes higher. take my opinion with a grain of salt but dont make assumptions it makes an a_ ss out of u and me.

what's the point from your thread anyway ?
why people don't just adapt to changes and stop QQ about every class -_-
The counter to armor pen is deflect. I actually spent 85K AD to respec my boons for more defensive/deflect. I run what's probably described as a "Scrapper", it's a combat/trapper mix. Wilds Medicine and Battlehoned (4 points ASAP) as well as an angel companion are keeping me standing through most fights. I'm at 62 thus far, we'll see if my theory is still valid at 70, I spend a lot of time shooting/swinging and using Marauder's Escape, but I'm shaking off damage pretty well.

I switched to Pathfinder in Mod 5 and never looked back. I'm not saying Stormwarden isn't viable, I just have less experience using it than Pathfinder now. I find that Wilds Medicine and Battlehoned help replenish much of the lost hit points quickly if you get hit hard and need to get out of combat. Boons that give an incoming heal bonus (IWD, ToD) are incredibly important. The healer companion is also a must now. You have to accept that you are going to get hit hard and try to figure out when to dodge or run away to heal.

What about Stormwarden Archer for leveling through the new content? What is your experience with this?
Only ran the first three or so new quests (last one I ran was the one on the Flying Pirate ship). Only had to drink one Potion so far. I'm running a high DPS build and have my Angel of Protection. I take some pretty big hits that knock me down in health, but Dodging (I'm wearing that button out!) and reliying on my Angel seem to be doing the trick.
I did run the Dread Legion Skirmish and died for the first time in forever. At the end I was the one that died the least (some up to 4 times), so I don't feel so bad. Was also just out of first on the Paingiver chart (I know, I know), so I was also doing some decent damage. All in all I've been pretty happy with my Archer, I've just needed to take it off the old cruise-control mode and pay attention to what I am doing.
I have had some issues however, whilst frustrating, I find it refreshing to have a challenge. All I see you doing, OP, is moaning and *****ing about things. The new module is not easy for ANY class, unless you're totally outgeared, but even then, it can be a tad hard.

(My post will refer to PvE)
What dungeons you ran ? In what composition ?
What rotation and what paragon ?
Your level 60s are irrelevant, most dps dusted off their companions to tank for them, and put their augment on break in the new zones, the leveling process shows nothing until you get the HP gear and the new linear stats kick in.
What the level 70s you compare to? I'm amazed that you managed to level so many so fast.
My last MC run was without DC and it was smooth as a baby's butt (after shirt adaptation for people who ran 70 dung first time) in good part thanks to an HR that had good DPS but switched to utility to make it smoother.
Sorry, but in my opinion from stumbling on your many many recent posts including those that ended in the abyss, and see you play long long time ago, it's my opinion that instead of asking constantly buff for you and nerfs for other classes, how to buff your GS (the most irrelevant thing), or generally looking for blame, I believe you should look how to adapt, what stats you need, how to improve you rotation, what companions and what gear you need if it's offensive or defensive and what role you want to take in a party.
For example this entire thread has nothing constructive in it, not for you nor for anyone, either ask people for help how to adapt and be on par if you believe you are lacking vs others, and then state what exactly the problem is.
And after all that, if you believe you need no help and got everything right but the class is indeed lacking, then please help make it better, what it needs ? more burst damage ? more single target? more AoE? more CC ?
Please feel free to post examples, logs, videos and of course ACT parses to prove your point.
p.s. I wonder with the mod so recent, half the powers and feats not working as intended, stats and gear need to be adapted, game play changed to closer to just after release when you need that GF and DC or really know what you are doing, isn't it to early to make such definite class opinions...

I play Stormwarden Archer, I'm currently level 66 and just finishing up Reclamation Rock. (I'm still using my Royal Guard, so only have about 24K hitpoints. I'm getting the WoD blue set when I finish up RR, no place in inventory to store RG for salvaging right now).
I think I'm doing ok so far, it's not always easy, but I've mostly only died to lair bosses with billion adds and in those quests where there is surprise HE spawned upon you. I expect the higher areas will get lot harder though.
I found Cordon of Arrows really awesome, works well with Rain of Arrows. Tried some root powers but they don't work great for me, mobs seem to just ignore them or shrug off the roots before I can finish the next attack.
Just started my Pathfinder Archer in Drowned Shore. It's certainly a lot more challenging than my TR or CW. The close quarters and high mob density make pure Archer play difficult and my old tactics don't work any more (Rain of Arrows + Lifesteal is no longer a guaranteed instant health refill for instance). I'm adapting but might respec into Trapper.
You should try it as a Stormwarden archer. It's utterly brutal. Two nights ago I pushed the Token of Chromatic Storm to mythic solely for the 60s cooldown, and it has been indispensable.
My level-70 HR -- who is my main and has far-and-away the best gear -- is parked in PE for now, where it's safe. I have no intention of subjecting myself to the horror that must be level-71, -72, and -73 zones. I'll check the forums to see if there is ever a change to the "kill the players" attitude, but until then I'm saving my sanity.

was trapper pathfinder on mod 5 but switched to trapper stormwarden because i <thought> i don't need extra survivability
skill rotation is Hindering Shot/hindering strike, Constricting Arrow/Steel Breeze, Fox's Cunning/ Fox ****
>use fox cunning before i initiate fights,
>use constricting arrow at long/mid range to initiate fights,
>use hindering shot if someone isn't trapped
>walk nearer to mob
>use fox shift to close last few feet of gap
>use hindering strike which will bind them again
>use steel breeze
>shift away a bit then re-do the rotation
the skills cd fast enough if u are on trapper and range skills will most likely reach >2 sec cd after i use all melee skills.
this let me reach 70 quick and easy,
You can also change Hindering Shot/ Hindering Strike to the new 65 skills which i forgot the name in which case
>use fox cunning before i initiate fight,
>use range lvl 65 skill to pull mob group into small circle
>use Constricting arrow to bind them
>walk nearer to mob
>use fox shift to close last few feet of gap
>use lvl 65 melee skill
>use steel breeze
>shift away a bit then re-do the rotation
BTW, you should try to lessen the use of the range lvl 65 skill or hindering shot since they have only 3 charges and it takes ~13s for 1 charge to build up
You can use the dailies any way you like, but i use Cold Steel Hurricane and Forest Ghost, Hurricane for extra dmg and ghost for if i recieve too much dmg

if i post ops character from mod5 (and im pretty sure his char is still bad) ud get why hes complaining hahah
its always the weaklings that complain, every time

I have seen a number of your posts that illuminate that one class or another needs to be nerfed... because they hit to hard or I can't see them.
I have always been a firm believer that what ever someone says about others is what they think about themselves.
