Missing XP level for 20 lvl alchemy progression.

i did few expeirment task, and only got few vails but no xp scrolls yet.
was this forgotten? glitch? or need special token for level ups?
still stuck on 20 lvl alchemy.

i see no way to be able to progress to 21 level.

    You may recall the experimentation does not always return a scroll.

    I remember players sometimes got really discouraged when it was first released as sometimes they would have several or even dozens of experiments with no new advancements.

    No offence Community Mod, but that was not a terribly helpful answer.

    To the OP: you need to make three potions - once you've made the potions (and this can take a great deal of level 20 experimentation) you get the alchemical research task. Just keep doing the experimentation - you'll get there eventually.

    Yes I agree, there is a problem with the Alchemy 20 Research not showing up until you have the 3 scrolls from Alchemical Experimentation.

    Alchemy 21-24 Research does show up at the outset however.

    It is a bug and I've submitted reports in-game and posted here already. This needs a dev fix. A minor one, but one nonetheless.

    To the alchemists: Experiment as kallikendra said. Once you have the 3 scrolls the option to gain a level from 20 to 21 appears.

    You aren't doing it via gateway any chance? Because it seems that 'collect rewards' only show you the unstable potion and not the alchemic knowledge if you've gained any. You need to check your professions bag after every experiment.
    I leveled alchemy via gateway myself and it took me about 15 experimentations at first to realize that...

    Not seeing the difference between my answer and yours. At the core we both said just keep going because it can take a great number of attempts.

    There is a difference. Normally when you un-tick the 'Hide tasks with unmet requirements' filter you can see the task you are aiming for and what the requirements are to achieve it .. and how far along the way you are. Not in this case though. The level 20 research task is just missing so implying it does not exist (although it does seem to suddenly appear when requirements are met). Disconcerting and a bug ... although relatively minor.

    I said it wasn't a helpful answer because you didn't give them any guidance on what they needed to do. I think there was a big difference in your answer to mine (even though Vordayn gave a better answer again). But I didn't realise it would be such a big issue for you. Sorry it wasn't meant to be.

    The level 20 advancement option comes up as soon you know all three level 20 potions. Is it NOT a bug.

    If you already had a level 20 Alchemist before Module 6, as soon as you log in, you'll immediately see the level 20 Alchemical Research task in your list, which only requires 8 Quicksilver and nothing else. This was done so that people who already researched all three potions could advance.

    Once you get to level 21, the tasks pick up as normal, requiring the research scrolls.

    ok, thanks guys, that was helpful info.

    sorry mod, you didnt give much info when i need it, it was way too vague and made me clueless what to do, til your next post mentioning keep trying for few more times. so now i know, it no problem, but please be more giving with details next time when someone else need guidainces.
