Can't release when dead

I'm getting tired of being stuck in a constant state of death where the game won't confirm my release.
It keeps happening in the Lair of the Mad Dragon dungeon.
I'll join with a bunch of randoms, get to Chartilifax, they'll all die and be stuck behind the frozen gate. Then, when I finally die from ultimately being overcome, I'm stuck in the "are you sure you want to release?" screen.

OF COURSE, I'M SURE!! I'M FRIGGIN' DEAD!

Meanwhile, my random 'team' is *****in' me out because I won't release.
I actually have to quit the stupid game every time.
It'd be nice to finish the dungeon more than once for multiple reasons.
Rhix is starting to think I'm incompetent... I don't blame him.

    it happens to me too, i wanted to see how long the server was going to lag before it let me release it was 10 minutes before it finally sent me back to the campfire ..every day the game gets worse with the server issues on xbox .

    Have you tried the stuck/death command?

    Couldn't access any of those functions due to the notification being highlighted in the middle of my screen...
    Had to dashboard and then quit the game....sigh.

    Hey - side note now... I've leveled passed that dungeon being on my queue, but I quite like that one, as you can fly through it relatively quickly. Which map is it actually on, so I can try just entering the gate?

    Not sure, i have always Qued for it on PC and X1. Maybe check the journal. It might mention the area.

    Had the same problem today in the brain dungeon. Admittedly it was for the first time but it still sucked,had to dashboard and quit then relog and hope i didn't get kicked because we were on the last boss.
