Why are the Astral Diamond to Zen exchange rates sky rocketing?

A couple of days ago, it was 50 Astral Diamonds per Zen. Now it is up to 150 Astral Diamonds per Zen, and climbing. Does anyone know why? 0_o

    The more people that buy them, the more the cost will go up. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.. I think I heard someone say that in the PC version they cost like 500 AD for 1 Zen. :|

    Well that's just crazy... It already costs like 15,000 Astral Diamonds to get 100 Zen...

    Umm, this is completely intended. Honestly, the exchange rate was at the floor and was nowhere near a healthy place. Mainly due to a direct lack of Diamonds in circulation.

    Cryptic did the double AD event specifically to address this. It gave the economy the one thing it needed, MOAR diamonds. Rising prices on the exchange is a direct result of this.
