Patch notes says there were fx graphics fixes and other to improve performance, but they actually cripple the game and it runs slower. I have older machine but game used to run smoothly in quest areas before update, but now it is worse and i have lower framerate everywhere.
it appears not to be gpu performance but memory usage whe i open task manager ram usage is up to 80% after a few minutes of play an keeps climbing causing low frame rates until pc completely locks up this system

I have been trying to find a fix to the low fps and stutter issues on both game sounds and looks. (Not talking about lag, connection and ping is fine its performance issue not related to lag)
So far i tried reinstalling OS twice, reinstalling latest drivers and rolling the drivers back as well(including soundcard drivers), updating DirectX 11, installing directx9ex updates, netframework updates, visual studio C++ updates and versions, running game in safe mod, deleting gameprefs file, deleting DirectX related files from game directory and making the client reinstall/recompile them, and so far i had no luck.
The only solution to a minor problem i found was, the crash/stuck on neverwinter logo to add the custom "-d3d11Enable 0" command line.
In addition to all of the above i have discovered that the game preference file doesn’t have the correct information about my CPU cache size (it shows as 0 while I have 4MB of cache) so i disabled multicore rendering on options and forced the game to run on single core, while the stutter on sound and game looks were gone (stutter on sound and looks usually comes from CPU on any game i played but can’t say for sure) since the system was reduced to run the game on single core it was still unplayable due to very low fps.
If the DEVS want to look at, here is my gamepref file info and dxdiag info. (Currently running on latest AMD beta drivers 15.4 beta, amd A8-4500M 1.9gHz 4 cores can be overclocked to 2.3gHz 8gb of ram usually 7gb available for the game windows 8.1 and AMD Radeon HD 7640 + HD 7600M dual graphics laptop)
While my system should be running this game smoothly i was never able to run above low settings, but was stable and no stutter before mod 6. Now after mod 6 i can’t even play for 5 minutes before it becomes completely impossible to move around especially during combat the stutter is there even on uncrowded empty public instances)
Not saying I don't believe you, but where is this stated?
I think they must have been using "tomorrow" in the figurative sense... You know, like how there's a "Tomorrowland" in Epcot Center? We can find the fix there for sure... in Tomorrowland.
I get new releases have bugs, I anticipated it this time too. But the lack of transparency is a little off-putting. I mean, just be honest with us about what the problems are. Some players will still be flaming jerks about it, but most of us are actually reasonable individuals, some of us even have been developers (like me -- since ~ 1996 in fact), so we understand that stuff happens... but don't try to pretend it's not happening. I mean, the game was working find then mod6 came out and BOOOOM, it wasn't. Just admit there's a major issue, do your best to explain what's going on, keep players informed as to the progress, and don't stonewall the customers!
