Being blocked by Comcast????

SHORT VERSION----tried lost of stuff, think Comcast is blocking game

First off, i downloaded and played roughly 30mins - 1hour of the game, linked my account. I received the free mage? follower and summoned him for the first time directly after i went down into the sewer where u first find out about the helmet that is stolen. I then proceed to get what i think at the time is rubberbanding. waited like 30-50mins and try log back into the game, but all i get is delayed authentication on account login, with 2-3min wait on the "shard" authentication. Get to the main menu (where it says play, help etc) and play is greyed out with displayed message of "no server is available". This is simply not true because i look on my friends list to see 2 people log in and play directly after i can't log in.

I then think it could be something with my ports as sometimes my 360 would just decide to give me a strict NAT. Put my Xbox 1 into DMZ mode (opens ALL ports), still says no server available. Went on xbox forums and forward all ports that they say the xbox one uses, and still same problem.I recall the massive issues the PC version had upon release and consider that. Browse forums for few hours and read that a couple people posted same problem and one mentioned that they thought it was their comcast router, in which case he set up his xbox to his cellular hotspot and the game worked. So at this point i think its something router related and i can fix it. My router logs show that there's a "DENY: Inbound or outbound access request" that goes up roughly 1-3/second when neverwinter tries to connect to the shard.
If i knew a Tracert ip to see if my assumption that comcast is either blocked, or is blocking access, I would. I could play neverwinter on PC as of beginging of December, and will try and start that later if it is needed.
Can anyone confirm this??

    try tracert to gateway.playneverwinter.com

although you're probably right. comcast is a giant bag of dongs. you should look into alternative broadband. ;D
NW-DSQ39N5SJ - 'To Infinity, and BEYOND!' - Spelljammer Quest. Skyships, Indiana Jones moments
NW-DC9R4J5EH - 'The Black Pearl' - Spelljammer! Phlo Riders and Space Orcs
    Thanks for all the fish.

I don't have the luxery of using any other ISP besisde ATT, and i will never go back to them (considering the most they will offer us is a 6mb, and during our 4 yrs of previous service thru them they decided to always cap us at half of what we paid for) and the tracert is blocked. but i am having overall internet problems right now.

You might also try some of the network tests here:
    http://www.measurementlab.net/tests

I can't run or load half of those pages/tests. Flash isn't working and so is java on most things. Youtube won't work, can't log into league or battle net or teamspeak/vent. So at this point its not specific to neverwinter, I have a bigger problem. I am so confused because i played league last night after i posted OP and now i am blocked from almost everything. I will most likely call Comcast tomorrow and talk to them.

TLDR: comcast problems at the moment as stated on xbox websites and forums.

Ok so i think my final assessment is going to be as follows.
According to xbox.com/status xfinity app is having problems. And knowing how comcast is, its never just locaalized to one thing. Read elsewhere that xbox and comcast are trying to fix this and that could be the reason the april update for xbox core isn't out yet. I also did some tests in the xbox network section under settings. Conclusion that no matter what i do i get a 100% packet loss with no ping listed. (started wired, went into DMZ, tried wireless. disabled Ipv6) when on wireless it says my NAT is moderate and then on wired it says open. Dragon age inquisition doesnt connect to the servers either. ( which would be obvious since i am getting a 100% packet drop) BUT i can watch twitch and netflix on xbox one.
I also couldnt do anything on my desktop without putting that into DMZ mode, which is extremely puzzleing.
looking at router logs theres things there i don't understand,as follows.

Registration failed for user <4432C8F47CBC002@ims.comcast.net>; reason
    INFO: Endpt 1 off-hook
    INFO: Endpt 1 on-hook
********(these 3 repeat numerous times, all having same endpoint IP)

    MEM-CONN-ERROR;No IP address
    DOCSIS-CONN-ERROR;CM not operational
********(these two are also intermixed and originate from the same endpoint IP)
If anyone knows whats up, im all ears. I would really like to take my desktop out of DMZ seeing as its not safe

ugh this sounds like a comcast routing nightmare and I'm hoping they've fixed it already for you.

other steps I can suggest, hard rebooting your router/modem

checking your PC's DNS settings and make sure they're on 'automatically acquire' .. if they are already, you can try using
    8.8.8.8 (google dns)
    4.2.2.2 (ancient dns)
as alternatives and then see if your pc works. if so, its prolly just comcast's DNS
NW-DSQ39N5SJ - 'To Infinity, and BEYOND!' - Spelljammer Quest. Skyships, Indiana Jones moments
NW-DC9R4J5EH - 'The Black Pearl' - Spelljammer! Phlo Riders and Space Orcs

I've got Xfinity and I put in some major hours the last four days. I have had issues with lag, and had sometimes logging into the server once or twice, but it seemed like this issues were widespread.

I thought the Xfinity app was Xbox 360 only?

Yea i have spent so much time with all this bs from comcast this weekend. My desktop and packet loss on xbox is fixed and i can play multiplayer on xbox again, but am still having problems with neverwinter. BUT according to neverwinters twitter, they are aware of connection issues some people are having and are working on the problem.... As far as if the application is only on 360, i have no idea, what i was refering to with that OP was the later of the statment. Refering to when comcast has a problem with any one supposedly specific problem, it always affects everything and its all fk up. Or they just deny u service straight up and never notify you of anything or when you will have service again.

I have fixed all the problems I can, minus the neverwinters playablility, which they stated they are having prorblems on their side.

my work around still works as I just disabled my work around and apparently I can't play Neverwinter on xbox without it -_-'

Basically just log into your modem and put it into gateway mode. Then hardwire your xbox to port 1 on your modem. This will allow you to play neverwinter. If my router hadn't fried recently I could try using my router on port 1 and seeing if the xbox could connect wirelessly to the router like that with the gateway mode turned on in the modem. If anyone wants to try that and post the results feel free...
