When i started the Nasher HQ quest where you confront Karzov at the end and you fight his 2 guards, I had my companion (purple quality littel rock golem) with me and everytime I got to the stairs to go up, the 2 guards names would appear at the top of my screen showing they had been aggroed (probably by my companion.)
When I got to the room before Karzov, his 2 guards would be here and I would have to kill everything here and the 2 guards before the last door would let me through. When I entered last room the cut scene would play and Karzov would tell his guards to take care of me then leave. Trouble is the 2 guards are now already dead and you now have no way to end the mission as it expects you to fight them at this point.
I exited the instance and entered again and the mission would play out exactly the same.
On the 6th try I dismissed my companion before entering and the mission went as it was intended ( I did not summon companion) so my companion was causing enough aggro somehow to force the 2 guards out of the final room and making the quest broken.
this happens in the PC version also unfortunately. The fix is pretty much just what you said, dismiss your companion and don't fight the guards if they aggro early. Definitely annoying and no word yet from the devs on a potential fix in the works AFAIK.

This problem has been going on since the game started. I stopped playing years ago, but came back to...this still happening. I've tried dismissing my companion, not talking to Zoey and other thing that worked last time.
Can we get an actual fix? There's enough bug reports.
