Servers open at 10:01am Pacific (1:01pm Eastern) on 10-31

Cause I know its been asked before. This directly from the pre-download of NW from the XBLive Marketplace.

Interesting note though... it says .. 'but it will not be playable until 15:01 UTC (10:01 AM PST) on the release date."
However, we're currently in Daylight Savings Time., which would be PDT, and not Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Most people are careless about the difference between PDT and PST, so I'm guessing that they really meant PDT... especially since no state in the US Pacific Time Zone is currently using Standard Time.. they're all using Daylight Savings Time.

Don't bite my head off if they really mean PST (which is currently not in use by ANYONE IN THAT TIME ZONE! so would be really really odd) and everyone has to wait another hour to play.

    I'd say regardless of when the servers come up, and hour later they will be bogged down then shortly thereafter die as a million people try the game for 20 minutes.

    First couple weeks are generally just bad for new MMO's...

    Yeah, currently the East Coast of the US is 4 hours behind UTC, so that puts the launch at 11AM here and 8 on the West if you go off of UTC time. Not sure which one they messed up.

    ha! I didn't even check to see if they got the UTC / PST (PDT) conversion correct. So it'll either open at east coast time 10am (based on PDT), 11am (PST) or 1pm (UTC).

    Was it suppose to be live at 3pm UTC ?
    Because the time converter says 5pm UTC...

    Yea it said 3pm UTC for me aswell on the xbox live page.. 2 more hours to wait now :(

    I just switched my XBOX to US and am downloading the game now, so all good then, yes?

    Just because you can download the game does not mean the servers will be up in your region.

    If you set your region to US and downloaded the game, you will be able to play in 2 hours, 39 mins from the posting of this post. I believe you can even re-set your region back to Australia and play as long as the game is in your library.

    (not familiar with Australia rules and regs and why you can't play it there).

    And Google says,it's already 3pm UTC.(the time that was supposed to be when the servers goes live) I guess we'll have to wait two more hours.

    We're getting a lot of questions about when the server goes live. They open up at 10:01 am PT/1:01 pm ET/5:01 pm GMT. Two more hours left!

    i can see people on twitch who have started up the game but cant sign into the server yet, but I cant even start up the game as the game tab still says pre ordered and clicking it brings up a message saying i have to wait. any idea how to get rid of the pre order sign?

    I'm new to the game. What are the benefits of guilds in this game? Is there guild only content?

    Well the servers are open at last, however when starting i got put into queue postion 5021, tons of people wanting to play.
