3-4 days ago I tried to trade a partially refined rank 9 with 7gmop and 100 gold. I started the transaction, and this individual traded the rank 9 with a partially refined 7, causing me a relevant loss in astral diamonds. I know I should have been more careful, but the trade was very quick and I was misguided as both stones are similarly refined. I got mad and looked for the trader, who natrually had used a secondary account.
I managed to find the guy, and after some discussions it turned out that he's got 6 different accounts that he uses with the sole purpose of conning players, making 5M/day. He threatened to have me reported by all of his acquaintances - he also tried to act upon it with the private chat group "20k".
Please find the attached screenshots of my discussion with him, as proof of what I'm saying. I have more, but these are the most relevant. I looked more into this matter, and I got in touch with several people who had gotten conned by this guy. I wonder how some guy can carry on for months conning people without consequences, why his ID hasn't been banned yet to prevent him from using all the various accounts he's got.
I'd like to know if the situation can be addressed somehow.
I have knowledge of at least 2 of his accounts: <<removed>>
The options I am left with are: - have him reported by as many people as possible, acquantances and guilds I'm in touch with (but I only know those two accounts of his), and - getting in touch with Cryptic and notifying everything.
Let's stop him, some people shouldn't be allowed in the game.

    he cant be stopped, he did nothing wrong.

    You are not allowed to have multiple accounts.

    I've seen a number of ppl in-game complain about his guy....he is a known problem.

    However, naming and shaming isn't permited here,......hopefully a few ppl will get forewarned before this gets removed.

    You kinda *have* to ignore trade / zone chat. If someone's offering something for trade, instead of selling, they're hoping to rip you off. If you go ahead and trade, you're *going* to get ripped off. So... don't do trades. It'll save you bad feelings later on.

    Do not publicly call out players on the forums for any alleged wrongdoing. If someone has violated the ToS or EULA in any fashion, use the ingame GM help function or the support website to report it.

    For your own protection, though, remember: Make sure that what you are being traded is what you agreed upon, and never accept partial trades or "I'll make up the difference later" trades. If someone is trying to rush the trade, walk away.
