What buffs are party-only vs. nearby allies? Or, what is the advantage of partying up in Tiamat (or for other dragons)?
Ignore for the moment the organizational benefit to partying for Tiamat, which I'm not trying to downplay.
For reference I run a MoF/Thaum CW and a DO/Faithful DC. My CW is limited to smoulder, HV debuffs, and debuffs from the terror enchantment; so she brings nothing special to a party since everyone attacking the same enemy benefits. My DC rocks a buff/debuff loadout, some of which apply to everyone because they're enemy debuffs and others which depend on direct application of the encounter (divine glow), or proc off heals (foresight, gift of faith). All of her feats say "allies", so I think that they're also not party-dependent (shared burdens and test of faith I'm not sure about).
Anyway, my point is that I'm not sure that my toons bring anything to a party that wouldn't happen anyway in a Tiamat run (other than helping keep it organized). Is it different for other classes (or other DC/CW specs)?
2 out of the top of my head. GF have Into the Fray, which massivly boosts party dps, party only.
Hr has a number of encounters which are for party buff only.
