Greetings
As you all know Tiamat has a lot of problms I see chat in zone all the time people swearing cursing at the lower GS players who lead to a loss or don't know what to do.
Here is my suggestion for the new Tiamat Modification

What if we had 2 Timats? 1 for pr0s and another for starting players. This would solve most of the current problems.
Here is what I think: make 2 temples or make 2 zones with 1 entry point.
#1 is a normal tiamat we got now. Make is a minimal of 18000 GS to enter it. That tiamat would have the current number of adds and current HP
#2 could have entry capped at the 10500 GS or let's say 12000 GS. All adds and the tiamat could be at half the HP of #1 one.
I would call the #2 a training temple.
Make #1 impossible to enter with GS higher then 16000 so pr0s wouldhave to go to #1 and not get it easy at beginner#s one
#1 could be the professional 1 and #2 Beginners where starting players learn to do tiamat before they go on into bigger one after they improve their GS

Also, this can be put differently
Instead of 18000GS cap in #1 here could be a counter that counts your wins in #2. If you got winner accolate or something like that like let's say 30 wins? Then you can enter professional tiamat


Drops: Linu's favor from the #1 and #2 so the starters can have a chance for getting off-hand to improve themselfs

Drops from chest: #1 normal drop and #2 lesser drop

May be add something special to #1 to encourage people to improve themselves.
Now PVP Domination has an afk auto-kick feature. I don't know how long is it I think 4 or 5 min. Add this to tiamat #1 and #2 and this would solve the afkaer problem. As if they afk for let's say 3 mins they get kicked out.


Anyways, this is what I think should be done to solve everyone's issues

    So you want to make it so that the majority of ppl would just remove their gear to lower their gs, so they could more easily farm tiamat? Sounds like a horrible idea.

    Allow for people to enter as a group. Take away t1 and t2 drops as rewards. Only allow players with at least 3 campaign boons to enter (preferably non-tyranny of dragons boons). Problems solved.

    edit: only give linu after a certain 'participation' goal is met. Can be pretty small, but required is participation in each phase.

    I think there are some ideas of merit here with maybe a few modifications to prevent the issue caladon brought up.

    I would scale Tiamat based on the total gear score of the 25 folks involved. If you get a bunch of folks with 18K GS then Tiamat is harder. If you get a mix of 18K and 14K folks then Tiamat is scaled accordingly. Same for a bunch of 12Kers. Since GS is going away with mod 6 (or so I hear), then whatever is replacing it could be used to scale Tiamat and the adds.

    As far as AFKers, not only would I auto-kick them, but I would flag them and not allow them to enter Tiamat again for X amount of time, say 24 hours. This would hopefully deter them from doing it again as well as clean them out of the runs throughout the day.

    Another idea would be to have the trainer version of Tiamat that viper is mentioning, but make it not award Linu's. Instead, if you complete it with a win, have it award a Tear of Tiamat (or something to that effect). Get 50 (or whatever) of those and then you can enter the "Pro" version of Tiamat. This would help keep the AFKers from getting into the "Pro" version, as they would most likely be booted before the win and not get the tokens needed to go Pro and would give the folks with lower GS the opportunity to see how the dynamics work for Tiamat.

    In this case, not only would I keep the AFKer from re-entering Tiamat, but if they get auto-kicked enough...demote them back to the "Trainer" version.

    I am sure that no matter what "fix" someone comes up with there will be a way to exploit it. Unfortunately that is the nature of some people in the game.

    I voted "I don't know" since gearscore is going away with mod 6 and I'm pretty sure WOD is going to be considered level 73. With these changes I don't know if we're going to have a lot of under geared characters in Tiamat fights after the launch.

    ...hey, we could call the higher version "Epic Temple of Tiamat"!!!

    On a more serious note: so easy to exploit: Remove some gear (easiest: artifacts), enter, re-equip once fight has started...

    It might work if you'd e.g. hand out two Linu's for the epic one, but then make it really brutal even for the high'n'mighty.

    But basically: What's wrong with getting good-ish gear first? BiS off-hands becoming available only after you also got the rest of your stuff upgraded has been the standard issue since Malabog's...

    Hello, And one thing that make me lough everytime is when peoples try compare players via kGS.
    Now lets say one guy gear up his character normaly by playing and learning how handle/fight with own character.. And other one simply buy high score gear set. Which one you think is better??? The one with experience or the one with deep wallet?.

    And also there is also one same/usual stuff.. No matter you class/race/kGS if you first time in Tiamat raid you are newbie and thats it.

    never notice this stuff. I been in party where players more less stay afk most of time.
    As if they afk for let's say 3 mins they get kicked out.
    Good idea.. However they will simply keep doing random meaningless stuffs in order to avoid this security stuff,

    For AFuKers I have other idea..
    The thing is simple, that in safe zone you can't stay longer that 3min.
    You fight well with tiamat but got killed, you respawn in safe zone, and if you do not move to fight zone, you are teleported by force in battle ground. (you can call it kick to AFK ***),.

    Next..
    If user still remain afk(even after death) get penalty..
    For example if you get killed and you do not respawn.
    for ~2 min you get warning message.
    for ~3 min 5% stats decrease for 30 min.
    for 5min 10% stats decrease. for 1 hour
    for 10 min or more, 35% stats decrease for 2 hours
    .Then players will be forced accept penalty or leave tiamat with own will. And trust me, there are afk fans both high or low kgs.
