Elemental OH for reaching level 70?

I saw earlier in game someone mentioned that the elemental OH was obtained from Sgt. Knox after reaching level 70. I then prompted to log into preview and check myself. Lo and behold. Knox had rewards for reaching 70. Similar to 60, I had to go speak with Nevermember and I got an epic cloak, the elemental artifact off hand and the title "Emissary of Neverwinter".

I don't recall anything in the patch notes saying that they were handing them out for testing purposes, so is this to stay? I kind of doubt they would just "give it to us".

I also saw a picture some where in the preview section of someone getting the elemental main hand weapon as well from a quest but I couldn't locate it again.

    i dont know but its better then doing BS like tiamant to get them its already a choire and money sink to get them to epic and ledgendary. So i welcome the change.

    You get the Main Hand Elemental weapon for completing Spinward Rise and retrieving the Seed of Air.

    I've done it personally.

    I think they left the option to re acquire them via tiamat and ToD campaign in case someone was to lose them for some dark and odd reason, I can confirm like abaddon that you do get main hand from spinward rise.

    Oh and about off hand, here:

    Take note: The quest chest shown storm spell as the artifact power for my CW, and the artifact I got on preview had storm spell too.

    Perhaps its possible to unlock the right power from opening the quest/chest interface til you get the one you wanted. Needs more testing.

    Edit: the cloak looks good too :P

    Wait, seriously, we can get a level 70 artifact main and off-hand from quest content? I'm stunned. I might have to rethink my aversion to obtaining mod 6 artifact gear if that's the case.

    i will do tiamat in any case for boons but this is a great new.

    thats the purpose of getting them from quest, to promote the new gears.

    Im pretty about it too. it wont be so bad the devs actually listen to us.

    I also tested the difficulty in WoD with my 70 wiz and its fine, the difficulty players were experiencing came from undergear mostly, my wiz was ripping em apart.

    Theres some fine tuning to go trough thouhg, some HEs and draconic heralds have way too much power IMO but theyll make adjustments according to our feedback, like theyve been since they opened beta for mod 6

    if this is the last and final way how we will obtain the new artifact weapons... YESSSSSSSSSSS
    i was doing tiamat to get the limu favor, but now i can use those for the last boon.

    i like very much that change :-)

    I kept bringing this up in the other threads, despite the constant complaining from the doomsayers...it just didn't make any sense for the primary way to obtain the new stuff being old content.

    I'm sure we'll see a lot more surprises as we get closer to the 17th. This Friday's patch I would assume would be almost complete, but I wouldn't be surprised is they held back a few things for the actual launch day.

    Thanks for posting the screen shots. I kind of had to post and run last night.

    I think this is a good gesture if it's here to stay for both the MH and OH. This also appeals to everyone and it's not gated behind content of random drops (dragon bones, gems) or campaign tree.

    I also got the OH feature as given in the quest. Maybe if I am bored later, I will boost another copy to 70 and look again.

    Have to agree, the cloak does look nice.

    After countless tomes..

    So far it appears that HR's get stuck with cruel recovery on their OH artifact.. joy.

    Tried declining the quest over and over, logging out and exiting the game. The artifact OH feature never changed for me. What I saw was what I got but there was no way for me to adjust the feature before claiming the reward.

    Great and it only took me eight tries and countless Cubes to get the feature I wanted first time around. You are a cruel mistress RNG...
